I think one problem you have is you cant get Gilkes out of the WKP bench. I think your other best trade out options are probalby DreRuss/Stoinis and Zampa/MKelly (if he is not selected). And then hope that Finch gets up and plays so you can have him as bat6 to replace Maxwell.

I dont really know if I'm much help, but the other problem you may have is if Curran does not get up. I think you may need to trade Stionis, DreRuss and Zampa/Kelly and hope all of Finch/Hughes/Kann play just to get numbers on-feild for this week and sort your bench out over the coming SGR's. With boland out I think it opens the door for Kann (maybe).

At some stage I also think you may need to get a BAT/WKP on your BAT bench to give some flexibility to get Philippee/Gilkes to be able to switch to BAT line.

Edit: I don't know., lol, maybe do what @Herbie66 said :)

Edit2: If Curran is out for a period of time, then you probably need to trade him this week. At least Zampa/Stoinis/Maxwell will play next round, so it may be a case of taking some pain short term for the greater good and holding Zampa/Stoinis/Maxwell. So that would mean your outs would be DreRuss/Curran (if out for a period)/Kelly/Elliott and I would be brining in 3 scorchers this week to maximise gain to cover the potential loss of holding Maxwell/Stoinis/Zampa this week.
Some great thoughts right there 😉

Look at future rounds when doing current Round trades 🤗

Opportune time to use Curran's $$$ to fix Elliott

Out: Curran , DreRuss , Elliott

Backing Stoinis & Zampa to come good could be advantageous.

Plenty of options for ins , depends whether you want players for DG4 or are looking ahead to 5 & 6.

2 from Agar , Inglis , Mills probably works + someone like Lamichhane.

Then need to work out who you are trading out in 5 & 6 though as well.

Like I said yesterday may need to eat a donut or 2 one round to set yourself up better long term.
do you think i could wait on Darcy

Does that leave you short on Scorchers , some will be going 4-6 strong.

When/how else will you fix Elliott ?

How long can you rely on Kann & Seymour ?

Do you know who you are trading out in Round 5 & 6 at this stage for Heat/Hurricanes ?

Anyway your team , your decisions.

Plenty of advice has been given since Round 1 (by a few people) to give you ideas on trades and look at future rounds as well.

Bank + Curran + DreRuss + Elliott = X

X - Short gives you how much

Then who can you get for those $ ?

Actually think you have a very solid team , fix a few things and you could/should be a strong position moving forward

This is the Round they all go 50+ , I will need 2 of them as well + Gilkes
yes please.

i'd just like 70% of my squad to stop losing money each round

at least this round i've banked 60k before third trade, and my breakevens are a lot healthier so should be able to finally upgrade a few weaklings next round or two + add getting 4 stars back and it suddenly looks less dire

Just spent this morning planning out the rest of my trades up to round 11.

Going to be a sad day when I have to trade Philippe.

Also planning on trading away both my donuts by round 8 too so will have to nail my on-field selections and captain choices unless I have an injured player and/or players on a bye that can loop.

There will likely be a spanner or two thrown in along the way but it’s good to have a plan written down with a clear idea of who I want and who needs to make way.

This feels like it could be an interesting round.. a lot of popular players with injury clouds on top of the stars bye and questionable coverage. Huge opportunity to potentially make up ground if you can scrap a solid scoring 11 and get the C right
Agreed, there are always oppurtunities, lots of teams loaded up on Stars and injuries to Curran et al, all we need is for the players in our teams to recognise these oppurtunites as well as we do ;)

Out to Round 11, I have enough trouble planning out 3 rounds ;), let alone 7 rounds, so well done.

Given that there are only 2 rounds left with teams on byes (Hurricanes Rd 8 and Scorchers Rd 11), I would have thought that the reliance on having a good donut to loop scores would be more vital and that it may be worth keeping one?

At the moment I only have Connolly, whom has been useful so far, but have not assessed how useful he will be in the future.

There are always spanners thrown in to spoil plans, but your planning is way better than mine, so maybe it is something I need to spend some more time on

Yep, rounds 9 and 10 could be a little scary but there's a decent chance one of my players is missing so I can loop if required. Otherwise I'll just have to nail my on field and captain selections for those 2 rounds. I can always bypass one of my planned picks for a donut if a VC or one of my emergencies goes ballistic too.

Rounds 12 and 13 I figure that I can trade in a donut if need be.

The key Stars poor efforts (except Maxwell) means I need to trade Maxwell over Curran to afford Mills, Munro or Inglis (don’t want to miss out on a key Scorcher….) - I’ll have to hold Curran and hope Kerr plays, will do Curran to Maxy next round (wasted trade but R5 offers an opportunity to reset with no DGRs).

Tossing up 2 options for my team at the moment.

Option 1:
Philippe / Neilsen
Marsh, Munro, Inglis, Garton, Hughes* / Duckett*, Connolly
Tye, Behrendorf, Agar, K Richo, Seymour* / Bartlett*, Maxwell

6 strong Scorchers, but have to hold onto Seymour, who loops with Bartlett. Duckett loops with Hughes.
Uses both Sams and Curran, who both have BE's around 140, so should be able to come back in at cheaper prices.
Down side that it keeps Seymour in the team.

Option 2:
Philippe / Neilsen
Marsh, Munro, Inglis, Agar, Hughes* / Duckett*, Larkin
Tye
, [Hatzoglou/Mills*], K Richo, Garton, Bartlett / Maxwell, Connolly

Hatz/Mills* replaces Behren, allowing me to rid myself of Seymour.
Down to one loop, Duckett and Hughes.
Down side, no Dorf.
