With a lot of the popular DGR players underperforming in recent rounds cash gen is probably becoming a big problem for many. Wade and Short present a interesting decision for their upcoming DGR.
I think the broader issue is there's been very few cheap players that have fired this season, and those that have aren't overly secure in the team. Really annoyed the Heat dropped Guthrie, surely he was a better option than some of the rubbish that got a run the other night.

Please elaborate

Coming into this Round M Short , Ross & Couch are Top 13 for aggregate points for the season.

Bartlett , Bazley , Harvey , Heazlett & Zahir all were under $ 100k starting price and in the Top 16.

8 out of 16 started cheap , add in the likes of Agar , Gilkes & Kerr etc as well.

Been a heap of cheap players that have fired so far.

Now I'm not sure if I'm game enough, but here's something I put together after reading this.

The price increases from the 11 mentioned above is quite staggering - but who would start them all?

This is starting and holding

As you can see I haven't picked the best performed DGR players, just the ones I would 'probably' have picked (I did not pick Worrall and Siddle, as I had Neilsen, Wells, Garton, MShort, and Khan in RD2. But this example is using the starting cheapies above.

After each round I traded the main "premiums" out, except Philippe of course.

Cheapie start 003.png

The RD1 team starting price was $1,671,700, so with over $300k ITB, I had plenty of opportunity to buy more "premiums" in RD2, and RD3.

To me, the most interesting part is the next.

(I think I've done this right - please correct me if I made a mistake)
note: Only 10 onfield in RD2

Round totals, and positions are below

Anyway, I thought it was very interesting to dive into the cheapie question.

Wow that is certainly above and beyond and very impressive 🤗

My post wasn't really about if we had started all of those cheapies or not (wish I did) more the fact that 8 out of the Top 16 players on aggregate points coming into this Round had a starting price of < $ 100k.

Found the original post quite interesting that they mentioned very few cheapies have been successful (so far)

Those that did start a few of them though will have a very good advantage trade wise and maybe able to hold on to premiums longer.

Great analysis though , well done.

Round 5 BE calcs:
- Sorted by average

- Please point out any gremlins as this is a combined formula / manual process ...
- Thanks to @Sideshow Bob proving the BE's
- +/- 1 they should be pretty much right ...
- Any players entering or coming out of a DGR may differ from SC Gold (seems to happen every year) but there is nothing I can do about that ...

Top 20 teams - end of round 4

For those coaches at the pointy end of the overall ranking, this thread may be of some use as you endeavour to craft your way onward and upwards for the remainder of the season.

Notes:
- Below is a listing of players for the Top 20 teams with non-playing players greyed out and injured players in red text for ease of viewing.
- Also included is total points and points behind the leader for subsequent teams.
- One SCS member is in it that I know of so far .... Jibrangers (@Bomber18)

- Five teams managed to remain in it this week and 2 came back into it ...
- Of the five teams is also listed the trades they probably made ...

Are you sure these are right, the app has Matt Short with a breakeven of 9, but you have him decreasing in value with 24, Rashid Khan has a BE of 44, only going up $3k seems a bit low, but maybe that is correct still?

- I won't put my hand on my heart regarding ADE player prices changes this round ...
- SC Plus has so many gremlins (mis-calculations) associated with DGR's ... to me it's actually very unprofessional, embarrassing and could be easily rectified ...

- I had Short with a BE of 33 (they have 9)
- I had Khan with a BE of 69 (they have 44)
- What they have will be used for the price changes even though they are incorrect ...

- But what I will say is that I will put my hand on my heart of what the correct formula is that they should be using ...

- Also he'll have a score of 84 replaced by a 6 in his rolling 3 game average ... that affects price changes (not BE changes)
