A mate advised me that Ash Brazill is showing as never played a game so I'm not sure of the accuracy of the rest of the players.
At a quick glance I also noticed J Duffin under the same category and I can recall selecting her last season in the ShePlays edition, as she was one of the only players I had previously heard of due to her participation in the WBBL.

Considered dropping a defender to fund another midfield premium but I will wait until the next round to see what structural changes are necessary and the price movements that need to be chased.

Good luck to all participating this season and hopefully I can finish five spots higher than my debut season last year. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hopefully this time around I will get to watch more matches than just catching very limited highlights from the AFLW media sources.

Same midfield as me haha. Hopefully we are onto something.

Fremantle announced 6 to Debut.

"Fremantle will unveil six new players in Saturday’s RAC Derby at Fremantle Oval, highlighted by the long-awaited debuts of Ann McMahon and Aine Tighe.

Both McMahon and Tighe have battled through incredible adversity to get their first AFLW cap, and senior coach Trent Cooper confirmed they will be joined by first year players Jess Low, Dana East, Airlie Runnalls and Makaela Tuhakaraina.

Nice 3 basement priced mids, 2 forwards and another basement ruck.

Bush is an early pick (partly due to the state/zone based draft) and a forward but I would be avoiding unless there are some stats to back up her selection.

Anyone else who is time poor like myself could do worse than basing their sides almost exclusively off that list and from the example teams in this thread, apart from Friend!

I rate Craven but am not sure what her role will be with the North midfield hard to crack. Perri King as Emg is likely to be a future downgrade option and will likely score well through high tackle numbers.

Kearney confirmed out.

I have Garner as M2, are any other players Fantasy relevant ?

J Ferguson as a rookie defender perhaps?

Got an email from AFLWFantasy which confirms it will be full lockout from game 1. Some other key info as follows.
  • Get your team ready: The season begins tonight! Lock in your side, select your captain and vice-captain (via Team Summary). All teams not completed in the correct configuration (6 DEF, 6 MID, 2 RUC, 6 FWD, 1 UTL) will be auto filled.
  • Lockout: From 7:15PM EST tonight, all teams will be locked and you won’t be able to make further changes to your side.
  • Team announcements: The AFLW clubs announce their team line ups at 5:30PM EST the day before they play. This means that we will not know the Sunday teams prior to locking our sides. But hey, we’re all in the same boat.
  • Green & red dots: Keep an eye out for coloured dots next to your players’ names. Green means they’ve been selected to play, red they haven’t, amber they are yet to announce.
  • New rules: Your utility player now acts as a backup to any of your other interchange players who do not play – regardless of position.

The utility position will be fun for strategy later in the season, helping some teams go 6 deep in the guts and 1 short down back. Is anyone game to try it from round 1 and field 2 donuts ?
