Super interesting close watch, expect ownership and interest to gradually rise as the preseason progresses. Just not sure if there is space given Hall and Lloyd and other options slightly cheaper options all the way down to Sicily.

As for the great discussion on Hall. I think the defenders thread when opened should be called the ‘Hall Appreciation Society’. But then last year I thought it should be the McDonald appreciation society and he was a late out round 1. Take from that what you will. Has not left my team.

Just 2 x 100+ scores in his last 7, 3 scores of 64 or less

Don't think his ball use will improve, has always been a butcher/ seems rushed when kicking the footy.

Lots of value available in the fwd line this year - guys like Coniglio/ Gresham/ Curnow/ Brodie (if Freo pick him to take Cerra's position for example)/ Hollands (who everyone will have I suspect)

Other attractive premiums like Dunkley who can score huge in the right role, Duncan has a great SC scoring history & Dusty (8 years of averaging around 100 or more until last year)

Potential underpriced premiums like Butters (see sig :p - set for midfield time), Treloar (pending the Bailey Smith situation), Tarryn Thomas, De Goey (much risk though), Zac Bailey, Shai Bolton etc look appealing depending on their preseasons.

I think we could see much variety in the fwd lines picked this season, more so than any other line - it is historically the most volatile scoring line so I think most coaches are willing to take some educated punts with the fwds they pick compared to other lines & with so many quality value options available.

Fantastic insights into the forward line options , just interested are you able to post the Top 10 available this season by last season's aggregate points , be interested who makes the list , given a lot of options being discussed have durability concerns.

Last year he was chosen as a starting selection for many teams (including the SC winner) to be a keeper in the midfield. Now all of a sudden people don’t want him for their forward line? If he was a forward last year, he would have scored the third most points in the forward line. And this years crop of forwards doesn't really scream 100+ to me either.

He still hasn’t turned 24 yet so he has potential upside. His ball use is poor but it can’t get any worse. Any improvement will see a boost in score. He spent some time forward late last year but his last 5 games including finals he still averaged a tick over 100 during that stretch.

Even if he doesn’t improve on last year, he can still be a top 3 forward. I have him as a 100-105 average this year but even he if only maintains last years score that is still a top 3 forward potential that I can lock in and not have to worry about for the year – and as someone who usually runs out of trades by about round 16 that’s handy!

I'm not picking Taranto because I can't afford him. The aim is to get him first upgrade when Greene returns.

Was very much on the McDonald train last year.
Him missing the start of the year left the role open for Hall, who did the chip pinching role even better.
Everyone wins.
