The Strikers only got through to the finals based on Bash Boost points. They did win less games than Melbourne, and I agree they shouldn't be in the finals, but that is the way the scoring works.

I assume it must be because the ball never touched the ground. Effectively he has has parried it onto the rope.

It’s unfortunate that the rules make that a 6, but unless the ball hits the ground it has to be.

Brilliant piece of fielding though, would’ve been no.1 catch of the season for mine had the rope been back another 2-3 metres.

Ball didn’t touch the ground so I think a 6 seems right, same as a player’s foot touching the rope when taking a catch
