I am thinking to go cheap up forward. Duncan seems a no brainer. Averaged 99 last year and 103 before that but both were affected by injury scores of 10 and 61.
Just keep in mind that he's turning 31 this year, his season averages have been trending downward since 2017, and has only played one full season in that time.

Would you think cogs and Gresham play a full season they will ave that?
All Depends on the role, at this time I have avoided Cogs and Gresham. Both Likely to miss games.

I expect 60% ownership for Cogs, might be a POD move to fade him. I don't think he will hurt you too much by not starting. And the there is the Leon Factor....remember Kelly Playing FWD last year. Good Grief. So WHO Knows what role he ends up with.?

Gresham expect 30% ownership, Again depends on Role, but I cannot see more than 80, even with a mid field role.

Foot Injuries are never a good thing.

Have no doubt Gresham would go 90+ as a fully fit and fledged mid I just dont see it happening, coming back from a serious injury and they've got plenty of mids ahead of him in the pecking order.

I think we will ease him into it - mainly fwd with spurts in the middle for the first half of the year would be my guess then ramp it after the bye - he adds a different dynamic to our midfield with his evasive/strong core type play - I’m expecting 75-85 avg

Is Finn Maginness F only or F/M ?
He has apparently been looking good so far this pre-season. You hear that about most Hawks from various reports from the fans, sure, but his name keeps getting mentioned positively, so I think he must actually be going well. I'm interested at that price and the DPP is a big plus.

Did some reading over the last couple of days and their seems to be a common 8-10 potential Round 1 starting rookies that are F eligible and he was often mentioned.

Think Long offered the best VC/C loophole when I was reading months ago so they could work well in tandem together.

Duncan always seems to pick up a niggle and play injured which has kept him from being a mid keeper but looks more than acceptable as a forward. Do we know if he's having a good preseason? I don't think he had much of one last year.

He has been held back so far. Sounds like a cautious approach after the injuries in the last 2 preseasons.

Geelong will train today at Deakin University with Duncan on a managed load as he eyes off a return to full training in the next few weeks.

Whats the second year with injuries? Are we going all the way back to 2015? Bar 2021 missing one or two games is hardly injury prone...
This has been my point all along, everyones acting like hes the most injury prone bloke going around yet they are all picking Heeney and Butters with far worse historical injury history lol.

Thanks.
I think a managed program can be a good thing to get a player ready. Warning bells if there are delays!

I'd be concerned if he wasn't on a managed program in all honesty, would just be poor player management need to look after the senior bodies and build them up across the pre season not have them flying in the middle of Jan and burnt out by Round 18.

He has just come back to the country recently from Ireland, so haven't seen much on him in training reports yet. I'm not sure if he will get the role he had late last year again with extra midfielders drafted, but if he does he could be a good pick. He's a wait and see for me at this stage.
