I have a query on the scoring @The Banker.

Is the 2 points awarded for an average of over 99.5 supposed to be for an average greater or equal to 100? Generally the half point is to avoid confusion as to whether the stated limit is included or not where only whole point outcomes are possible, however an average between 99.5 and 100 could happen. Will that get those points? My opinion is that it shouldn’t.

I was awarding for anything over 99.5, that was as it was scored during the Worlds comp, although I’m unsure if anyone actually finished with an average between the 0.5

Just on the rules. I’m open to anything that needs to be tweaked as @Beg2Differ has just queried the scoring of 99.5
Anything that can make this better by all means voice it.

And just on your query B2D, I’m open to changing it to a flat 3 figure score

Well that’s the end of Cross. The misscount hurt, but de Sousa was the better player by a long way from the moment he was 2-0 down
I honestly thought if anyone miscounted in that match it would have been de Sousa. I seem to remember him making a lot of counting mistakes previously.

Oh well, I guess the fact I was one of the few people not to have Cross as C or VC might be a positive, even if I did lose a player.

You won’t lose a player though will you because we reset our team after tonight. I suppose you lose one chance at the winners points.

Fair point, and you're right. I was mainly wanting to see all my players make the final 8 to have a better shot at having the winner, not really losing anyone though.

Again not advocating for change but just raising as a discussion point as I sit here thinking about it a bit harder than I have to date.

It worries me a bit that you a forced to go into a subsequent round with fewer players than your competition. It would be pretty easy for some players to have just 2 active players in this round compared to some who could have 6. I hadn’t realise until now how important is to pick winners because picking losers has a double whammy effect. Your score less because your player loses and then you go into the next round with a doughnut. Ouch!!
