When i ran comps elsewhere you were not allowed to change your picks unless
it was for a valid reason.
Horses if they were scratched or players if they withdrew as an example.
For fairness reasons and to save me keep changing on the spreadsheet.
Usually i would pick first anyway after i posted the table update and the next rounds
fixtures.
No PM's were allowed until the last day and for those who could still win.

I have to say i ran loads every year as did others and we never had any of these problems
about posting picks on the thread.
At the end of the day it's just a bit of fun and interest when watching.

While I concede your point, I like that it's a consistency that carries over from the bigger contests. Having a salary cap in some events, but not others becomes a bit wishy-washy if we come up against a medium, rather than big or small comp.
Having said that, I'm clueless as to how big the fields will be in coming events, but I like the consistency of the salary cap being there for all comps.
There may be an arguement down the track to create an "artificial" cap, where we manually adjust the price up and/or down some players, to even the field out a little.
I think what @tso was saying is why can’t you pick a team without both? Ultimately you can. I’m not going to divulge yet whether anyone did because trading is still open.

When Wright plays Price it’s going to be a common strategy.

No i did mean why can't you have both just for the PL comp as it's only 8 players
and you might get some different picks.
Like i said once i have picked Price or Wright i'm stuck with whoever is left or go 2 in
one match which i refuse to do

The plan with the cap is to update it. The Masters wasn’t a ranked comp, so nothing changed. From this point onwards there is plenty to play for and money gets won and lost from tournament to tournament.

For mine, it only makes a difference if Wade plays well here… if he bombs it, The Banker gets penalised for being unique.

Side note - James Wade is 37!?! Could have fooled me

In the match I was kind of barracking against Wade because of what happened last night.

I have had time to process what happened. 11 people decided to post their team in thread. I wasn’t the last to initially post mine. Lockout wasn’t closed.
I dont really know what I could have done differently.

I’ve been very transparent that I will accept changes up until a certain time.

Another way around this. I post the EO when all teams are submitted and if people want to change on that basis then so be it.
Having said that 11 teams were posted. You got a feel for who was being selected.
