The type of stat that would make me select MVG, but as I’ve disclosed to you and it’s only one opinion, I would need a pretty good argument to consider selecting him and still feel that’s not enough haha.

I just think he’s a shadow of the player he was. It’s a tough section, and if he gets through Wright he’s got Smith or Clayton and I’d still back them to beat him.

Very difficult indeed. 2 of my 4 spots have been filled by Cullen and Clayton but there are various combinations for the last two spots I have currently toyed with and waiting on some stats from my preferred sources tomorrow to help sway me either way.

Hopefully Clayton gets his revenge on Smith this week for their epic battle at the World Championships and I highly recommend for those new to the sport or that may have missed this match, to watch the Day 12 Night Session of the 2022 World Championships on Kayo from 2:51:45 onwards.

Great reference. It was an absolutely cracking match. Probably the match of the tournament for mine. Smith played majority of the tournament like a man possessed, but this was the highlight.

Basically cursed himself with that and lost like 27 of the next 30 against MVG including plenty of finals😂

2020 was so sweet
