Zorko as a Defender. Does this bring Coleman into doubt.??

Then who gets the Zorko Role?????. Bailey Berry 0r Rayner
Bailey and Rayner are the 2 who’ve been in the middle all pre season. So will be a mix between them

Coleman is now a must watch in the pre season games. I’ve had him all pre season but zorko getting in the way ziebell/hall style limits his ceiling for me. Zorko has always been stat hungry and I can see him being hall like in that backline which may hurt kiddy

Good thing about Coleman is you can bail out to a decent defender rookie & free up a pot of gold in doing so.

Coleman on life support just like that

Would be the end of him as a pick if Zorko is back there for me, he's not getting the ball ahead of him on any kind of consistent basis and Rich is already the main guy.

Bailey with genuine and consistent midfield minutes would be very interesting, he scored great whenever Neale or Zorko was out last year, he averaged 97 in the 9 games that one of Zorko or Neale was missing. Another year of progression would also aid that.

Rayner basically would be a direct swap with Coleman in teams if Zorko does basically ruin Coleman and free Rayner to play midfield.

Very interesting dynamics to watch there.

Re: K Coleman from a regular track watcher at yesterday’s intraclub;

“Kiddy played his role well. Players looked for him to distribute the ball either with a switch or down the middle. He looked more confident in distributing the ball but of course not much pressure from opposition. We don’t have anyone else that plays like him and that sets him apart”.

Probably a bit early to start worrying about Zorko moving to half back. This post from BF goes into more detail:

Kiddy played his role well.
Players looked for him to distribute the ball either with a switch or down the middle
I think he is best 22 just from what he showed when switched to half back very late last year. Then add in his potential/natural improvement
He looked more confident in distributing the ball but of course not much pressure from opposition
We don't have anyone else that plays like him and that sets him apart

In the first and second quarter Zorko on field Kiddy bench
Third quarter Answerth on field Kiddy on bench
Fourth quarter i could not get a shot of the player board and did not think to look at player positions

My early thoughts
I hope Zorko is just getting miles into his legs and will fit back into the F/M role
If not Kiddy gets the spot over Answerth
Answerth possibly moves to the wing/wing rotation along with McCluggage. The other rotation spot to either Robbo, Dev or AhChee

CAPPERRRRRR

sorry I had to
That cry used to echo round the primary school ground at lunchtime.
Will still occasionally echo around the Philzsay household when one of the boys leaves their back perfectly exposed for a Philzsay launch at an imagionary football......

Usually followed by a cry of "Dad!!! Stop it with the olden days!!" While they try to whack me away.

Then usually follows with my arm pushing them Dusty like yelling "Don't Argue!"
