Oscar Allen injury update
West Coast Eagles young gun Oscar Allen is facing a stint on the sidelines due to a foot problem

Emerging West Coast Eagles tall forward Oscar Allen is set for a stint on the sidelines after scans revealed he has sustained a stress-related foot injury.

After reporting minor foot soreness, Allen undertook a light training program last week and the club was optimistic the 22-year-old would rejoin the main group this week.

However, follow-up scans on Monday revealed the stress-related injury for the exciting goalkicker, who was recently elevated to West Coast’s leadership group.

“Unfortunately, Oscar’s injury means he will wear a moon boot for the next three weeks before building his training loads again,” Football Manager Gavin Bell said.

“While it is disappointing for Oscar and the club, no doubt he will complete his return to play program with the level of professionalism and diligence we have come to expect from him.”

The club is assessing Allen’s injury and will release a return to play timeframe in due course.

So Lits, who takes Allen's spot? Does Bailey Williams get a gig, giving Nicnat a chop out?

I think we go in with a JK, Waterman & resting ruckman line-up... Weather that is Bailey Williams or Stranadica I'm not sure.

Goals shouldn't be a problem with 3 bigs plus Ryan, Rioli, Petruccelle... plus mids going forward at times. Sheed, Shuey & Kelly are all proven goal kickers when spending time up forward.

Probably a fair chance we sign 2021 WAFL leading goal kicker Tyler Keitel too... who is training with us to try get on the main list.
