Huge Heeney fan (must have commented on him a million times by now) , curious to see if and how KH changes his midfield , still expect Boak & Wines to be the major players.

Amon , Butters , Gray , Houston , Drew , Rozee , SPP etc might all share rapid rotations to try and mix things up.

KH doesn't like to change things up to much though , might not have a choice though if they wish to take the next step.

Agree about D Stephens , my problem now will be just panicking and picking too many rookies that are named and vanish by Round 3-4.
Fair enough re: Heeney, still a viable selection even if played more as a forward. Butters doesn't need major cbas to score well and has a huge ceiling, his disposal is also so clean as well.

Going cheaper rookies now with lesser JS might allow you to squeeze every dollar now but in six weeks time people with a lot of dead rookies will be in a fair bit of trouble.

The other alternative is to skip the $ 200-300k guys altogether (except Coniglio and have a look for 2 rounds) so a Dunkley , Heeney , Butters , Coniglio , Rachele , McCartin / Durdin , Hayes/Dixon setup.

Can Rachele & McCartin be trustworthy onfield ? Probably loses a premium defender though for a Answerth , Bowey , Chapman , Richards price type then compare them to a Brodie , Curnow , McGovern , Xerri.

Agree re the rookies , people will get excited at all these cheap types then in 3-4 games question why 50% of their bench has vanished.

3 trades in Round 3 possibly gives you a chance to have a look at a couple of players (eg Brodie & Xerri) and see if they do actually have the clear role we are all hoping for.

Really think McCartin is needed in the backline, there's not too much else back there. He's fieldable. I wouldn't be fielding Durdin, Rachele is fieldable. Only rookies i'm 100% comfortable on fielding are the big three in the mids, D. Stephens would be fieldable as well but got him at M9, Hinge, McCartin and to a lesser extent Rachele. Nick Martin if he played could be one that might be as well. After that, don't think there are any that you would want to rely on for a score.

Decided to eat my words and take Oliver out to accommodate Darcy into the team.
My thinking is, its sorta a set and forget ruck system and if Darcy does get injured or is useless or whatever, then I'll consume a trade and go to Gawn or to my first option of English or whatever

Hate having Darcy in the team as its thrown out the entire balance but seems safer then having Grundy and English?

NOTE: When i did have English, i had Lloyd, Ridley, Short, Gibcus in backline instead of Kelly and Whitfield.
Also had Oliver instead of Trac in mid

Not sure if ive just muddled my team up at the last minute, would really love some feedback and if someone could tell me if im being crazy with making this big of change just for Darcy or should i go back and grab the others like i originally had

Thanks

Your onfield selections look good/ solid to me but my big question is what is your plan b option if any or all of W Kelly, Sinn & Martin don’t get picked for round 1?

I would have a contingency plan ready as there is a real chance some or possibly all of those 3 miss - very much hoping Sinn makes it but it is a very strong Port team with many similar types to him which is a real worry.

Good point, im thinking at the moment they are all place holders. But yeah my back up plan i guess is go back to my original plan which should give me a little extra cash for rookies

Ok Guys. Haven't had a great deal of time for research, so I open my deck-shuffling to anyone who would like to help. I've left some points of wriggle room pending teams and whims - ie. there's a many rookie place holders and a one or two players I'm not hugely fond of could fade to restructure a bit - but I'll see what you've got to say. Thanks as always.

Team is all right but need to fix bench rookies. Kelly, Hollands, O'Driscoll, Parker and maybe Sinn won't play. SDK not fieldable probably want McCartin in defence otherwise everything else is good to go.
