Giving serious thought to dropping one of my expensive rookies now the 117k options are appearing...
Job security/ scoring potential/role they play are very important with the rookies. I would rather pay that bit extra on a rookie that meets those criteria that taking a punt on a speculative cheap rookie named for round 1 - I think Owens is a classic example of a rookie that people see is named round 1 at such a cheap price but then scores poor/gets dropped & becomes a dud rookie so you waste a trade on him.

Sticking with the rookies I have put the research into myself unless - need just 1 more confirmed in Dylan Stephens & I am set. Happy to pay the extra for him given his wing role ( taken Dawson's position) & a few years in the system so body is AFL ready.

So why not just put Goldy in the VFL and give Xerri the responsibility and pick CCJ/Comben as the back up ?

Is Goldy a "clock face" ruckman or does he just have his 2-3 main hitting zones ?
Good point, but I think Goldy rucking 30-40% is still far, far better than either CCJ or Comben having a go. You're basically conceding the contest with those second two and we're no where near good enough at the fall to be doing that for a third of the game.

Goldy's main hitting zone has just been Ben Cunnington really. The other mids are going to have to get a lot better quickly ;)

Just went Baldwin to Martin, D Stephens to Soligo, NOD to Voss and Ward up to Berry. Its not Round 1 lockout if you aren't changing at least something at the last minute.

I guess it is easier for the mids to learn then if he is just hitting to 2-3 areas , although that makes him predictable to other teams kids though.

I can't believe Goldy won't be the main ruck but I guess we wait and see.

I think both MacDonald and Ward will have similar roles on the wing and scoring similar, with MacDonald being 60k cheaper.

It’s what the cash does for your team is the real question. Some teams/coaches will struggle to spend the spare cash and others will make the upgrade/premo swap that always wanted to do but couldn’t afford.

The bevo video or is there a copy of that recording being circulated?
There is a video of him speaking on a What's Appt chat group regarding Megan Barnard (fox sports presenter) that has gone viral - let's just say he deserved to be stood down from the comments he made ;)

It's pretty insidious not just because of what he said but what if she didn't want people to know of her private life? Complete violation of her privacy, always thought he was a flog, it just confirms it.

Have a Cripps + Answerth combo and would love to swap to Stewart and a 123k.

Outside Mcentee and Macdonald, at this stage I am not sure I see a third I should have. Already have Hayes too. Does anyone like another one.

Soligo - Laird risk
Owies - Billings risk
Hough - light frame, witherden risk

Bevo vindicated! I thought last night's outburst might become a distraction for the Bulldogs, now Bevo comes out looking good. One less good old Melbourne Grammar boy in footy, hopefully (although people like Morris will always be back). I look forward to him playing the victim and blaming cancel culture in the near future.

Rugby league is, well... rugby league, but at least upper-class twits like Morris and Basil and stick to Union in NSW and QLD.
