Played: J Macrae (C), J Dunkley, G Hewett, J Short, M McGovern, R Marshall, B Grundy (VC), N Daicos, J Ridley, L Whitfield, J Kelly, P McCartin, S Coniglio, D Rich, J Berry, L Neale and Z Butters

Yet to play: J Ward, J Horne-Francis, W Brodie, T Xerri and M Rowell

Very happy with performance of all players and hopefully most of the defenders registered their worst score of the season in the most insignificant round for pricing. Uneasy about going four deep plus Hewett down back and well aware of the increased probability of a decreased return on investment which is why I prefer to spend big in the midfield. Struggled to find many midpricers I liked in that position to do a job for 6-8 rounds or amass enough of the ball to be worthy of selection along with the lack of rookies.

Average of 101.5 so far, I think someone mentioned to win you need to average 103 points per score, so I'm not too far off being declared the winner this year........

I'm a bit off the pace based on some of the scores posted here, but it's a long season, plenty of time to come back from here. Should still hopefully finish with a reasonably competitive score, only having 4 players on the traditional carnage day is limiting my exposure to that I guess.

Don’t take that average lightly. I certainly focused on the 55 average in the BBL with the early leader averaging over 65, and it worked (just) in the end,

I am certainly keeping that 103 in my sights despite the unknown of the DPP changes.

It is a long game!

PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley is quietly confident Xavier Duursma and Trent McKenzie have avoided serious injuries following Saturday night's 11-point loss to Brisbane.

"Xavier looks like he's OK structurally, not a break or anything," he said.

"And Trent, we don't know, we think he may have escaped the worst. We'll wait and see.

"On the initial tests, our doctors are very experienced, and are reasonably confident that as an ACL goes, it's probably not that.

Fagan was unsure exactly what went wrong with Zorko after he hobbled off before the final change, but ruled out an Achilles problem.

"He felt something pop in the back of his calf area," Fagan said.

"His Achilles is fine and he's got strength. There's some little theory floating around at the moment that where he had the little procedure, that might be a bit of scar tissue that moved.

Gawn and Grundy on the same bye AGAIN.
I hope it's only the guys doing well posting in this thread, so far behind par it's not funny :(

When you structured to avoid the defender rookies and then all your premiums scored worse than them you're up the proverbial creek...
Exactly what I did and it hurts, nearly impossible to predict thus scenario where all defenders fail, reminds me of the rookie ruck line last year that killed it in round 1 with Gawn and Grundy failing, then the rest is history, there is still hope :)

Well in case no one has asked that question yet, what is the prognostication (that is my word of the day) for par at this point?
