I’m not sure what you were watching, but Rioli was watching the man not the ball, elected to bump and jumped in the air. Once his body (arse I think) made contact with Rowell’s face he was in trouble. Lucky to just get a week.
I could be wrong of course, I just thought Rioli was aware of Rowell's presence and protected himself whereas Rowell only had eyes for the ball.

He hurt his shoulder right at the end of the game, so it's unrelated to his second half. I was surprised to see he played so much on the wing instead of inside mid. He was behind Bailey, Rayner and Scottish Suitcase for CBA's, need to hope they switch that around for the next game.

haha yeah just hold him for this week though I reckon, one game that consisted of one bad half is a tiny sample size, could get a better role next game like he did in preseason.
So easy to trade a combo of:

- Ward + Berry > Lipinski/McDonald/Green + MacDonald ... etc

But I need to see another game from all of them before chasing round 1 outliers ...

We get an extra trade next week if we want to use it, I think the extra game is really useful in figuring out what to do, even two games is too small a sample size but then we have to make of it what we will.

got Rowell in his sights, locked on the radar, zoned in, no eyes on the ball, just on the player, jumped off the ground and tried to inflict as much pain as possible, old fashioned footy, judged as careless contact. Then graded as medium contact, what would you need to do to attract high contact - decapitation! I'm guessing Toby may have got 8 weeks, Danger perhaps a reprimand. Gotta luv the system

I'll need to get Rachele in at some stage but I'm glad I get another look at Brodie, Xerri, Berry, Ward and even McGovern to see who I'm prepared to let slide.
Rachele will be very up and down and dependent on kicking a few goals. Through his junior career, practice games and first AFL games he’s always kicked a lot of goals though
