I remember Houston a year or two ago was all the rage and didn't quite live up to the hype.

Don't remember him being discussed at all this preseason as a potential midpricer.

Anyone who watched the Port game, can you comment? Did he play through the midfield a lot?
Houston did play wing. He stood next to Berry after the first quarter.
Didn't put a tag on him but always ran to positions to be used.
I think Berry just ended up trailing him for the best part of 3 quarters.

Had Holland’s as my mid donut loophole. Have moved him FWD for Rachele who is now M8, ward to bench. Holland to FWD bench and Martin on field.
trying to figure out how to get J.Hayes on field and short of trading Baldwin for Hugh Dixon and moving Hayes forward then on field for Durdin I’m not sure I can. Apologies if that is a bit incoherent, it’s how my brain is working at the moment.
I would not be using a trade just to get Hayes on field. There is a good chance that he only scores 50 to 60? Wait until you see him play another game.

Mine says Dixon to Martin, which is hilarious because I made the opposite move with Hayes going berserk, and Berry to Rowell which I am already giving serious consideration.
Mine says the same and on Saturday morning I also did the Martin to Dixon move for the same reason.

Not if Brodie loses his bread & butter role which will render him not much better than a small forward rookie which I will not be happy paying a premium price for.
He's so one dimensional, I can't see JL selecting him as anything other than an inside mid. I'll be upset if Fyfe doesn't play this week and Brodie is dropped next. 😪

Out: M Owens
In: N Martin (via Maginness)

Preferably I would like to wait until RD3 for rookie corrections but his performance will buy increased job security and I am more impressed from the role he received and the work around the ground in terms of disposals and marks given the scoreline.

Also provides an opportunity to use a trade boost in RD3 if necessary for a possible restructure.

J Berry, J Ward, low job security rookie (eg omitted RD3) and premium defender on the chopping block for possibly my first trade boost in RD3. P Cripps, S Skinner, P Lipinski, I Heeney, J Gresham, A Davies, J Sicily, N Blakey and H Chapman high on the radar.

Think I will probably just sit tight this week.

Hopefully Berry gets up and I get another look at him this weekend. He might be part of a restructure next week if he isn't outperforming my bench rookies.

Think my biggest omissions so far are Hewett and Martin. Will watch them closely this week and pull the trigger next week if they look like must haves.

Don't think I will trade but :-

Ward - > Martin via Brodie looks viable depending on Round 2

McGovern , Curnow , Brodie (via DPP) , Berry via (DPP) to Hayes could be a option

Which would then allow a Trade Boost of Berry or Milera to a $ 500k player

Interesting thing is their always seem to be a number of rookies that debut Round 2 so if they all go bang as well

Challenging start with players like Berry crisp and Whitfield that don't give me a lot of confidence I can make ground... thinking of letting go berry and crisp.

anyone one watch the lions game? Why did berry go backwards in the game? 48 first quarter.. 68 half time... to finish on 66. Pathetic.

Hurt his shoulder tackling and wasn’t as involved in the contest after that. Think the injury got ticked off as minor today and seems he’ll be right for the weekend.

Tackle was in the final two minutes of Q4.

Berry was just on the wing and out of the action. Unlucky a few times. Still 0 point 2nd half is frustrating.

I think I will be taking the punt on one of the 2 this week, Martin or Hayes, in case I have 2 problems to fix next week

Ridley, Short, Whitfiled, Chapman, Hinge, McCartin (Gibcus, SDK)
Macrae, Jelly, Cripps, Rowell, Neale, JHF, Dacios, Ward (MacDonald, Stephens, Owens)
Gawn, Grundy (Benning)
Dunkley, Butters, Coniglio, Xerri, Brodie, McGovern (Rachele, Durdin)

Owens to Martin

Re-assess Ward, Chapman etc next week. There are a few balls in the air JS wise for Hayes, so likely to just wait for next week on him, hopefully with more information. I also think Martin has less competition for his spot given Ryder is in play. Langford out probaly helps Martin (short term) even if Stringer is back this week.

Also don't necessarily want to go early on the trade boost already next week. I also have the cash to go Hinge to Hewett next week, if Hnge looks like he is going to be a bust, if I have to fix him, then the others will just have to wait.
