Very interesting re Cripps :-
In the season opener, Cripps tallied 30 disposals, eight clearances and 132 points. He again moved unbelievably well, and maybe not just in comparison to last year.
In the previous five seasons, Cripps averaged 250, 231, 270, 260 and 245 metres gained per game in each year respectively. Against the Tigers, he gained 680 metres and finished with 20 uncontested possessions, a career-high 11 inside-50s and three goals.

To be fair, he looked great until he kicked it in Q1, still was moving very well and getting to the right spots. Dat kicking though...
Would think those who didn't go Cripps/Rowell had a good reason and should be waiting until at least next week to fix it if they look really, really good again. Fact is Cripps limped off with an injury and Rowell almost died because of their play styles and while they seem to have survived this time, it's a pattern for them and the kind of thing that can be a long term issue.
Rowell has the note though that he can MAYBE work as a cash cow so would only need to last 8 weeks. 2 trades on Cripps will more than cancel any cash he can generate though and probably just about kills it for Rowell, so you'd be trading for a keeper or bust pretty much.
That's the reason you start those types or avoid altogether, one trade and making 100k is a borderline pass, 2 trades and making 100k is almost certainly a loss.

I think it depends on who you're trading out to get Cripps/Rowell...But I could be reading it incorrectly.
If going from a MPs/high value rookie (plus cash ITB) to Cripps/Rowell, then I see this as no difference to say a missed R1 rookie.
If using one of your originally planned Keepers then you potentially fall behind on the Keepers count if Cripps/Rowell don't end up being Keepers themselves.
