Morning all
Just realised Hogan and Dixon are out.
Am I allowed to bring Frederick on, or due to having Curnow as an emergency, I shouldn't?
Only issue then is I get exposed with a late out due to locking team in pre selection?
Happy to go with whatever is in the spirit of the comp.
Reminder of rules for team submission. Where in doubt notes are important for clarification.
TEAM SUBMISSION
With the advent of the AFL reverting to naming teams on Thursday Night, SCS Ulitmate League will revert back to normal submission of teams with Friday Night Full Lockout.
Team Submission
- Teams are submitted via the Team Submission Google Sheet, this document is sent out in the days leading up to the next round.
- Coaches are to submit their team prior to the start of the first AFL game of the round. This is a Full SCS Ultimate League Lockout.
- For irregular AFL Rounds (e.g. Thursday Night Games), a Rolling Lockout will be in place to assist coaches with team selection.
- The Rolling Lockout is purely for clarity on AFL Team Selections. Not for VC/C or EMG Loophole purposes.
- The League Administrator will lock relevant player cells on the Team Submission document, allowing changes to be made for players not yet locked out up until the Full Lockout is scheduled for that round.
Captain & Vice Captain
- Teams are to select a Captain and Vice Captain for each SCS Ultimate League fixture, by allocating the 'C' and 'VC' to a selected player.
- The player selected as Captain will score double points for that round.
- The player selected as Vice Captain will score double points for that round, should the selected Captain not play.
- Should the player selected as Captain fail to play more than 50% TOG, the Vice Captain score will be taken.
Emergencies
- Each round a team must select 4 Emergencies, these players can be of any position.
- Teams must nominate a position(s) for each emergency selected.
- Players who have dual position eligibility may be nominated as dual position or single position. e.g. M-F can be nominated as M only, F only or M-F
- For an Emergency to replace a non-playing player on field, they must have the corresponding positional category. i.e If Forward misses there must be a player with an Forward (dual or single) designation in order to be covered.
- In the case where two or more Emergencies have the same positional category, the Emergency with the lower score for that round will be counted as the replacement score for the team.
To answer Jack's question and clarify the rules.
A normal round would start Friday night. AFL teams are announced Thursday, and all finalised Friday at 5:00pm, SCSUL are to be chosen and will locked in at the bounce of the game. That's the easy scenario.
A Thursday AFL game means that SCSUL should be chosen before the start of the AFL game. Players from that game are locked in. If there are doubts due to AFL, selection notes should be written, which will allow DPP shuffles and EMG to be added. SCSUL teams should be finalised by the start of the Friday game after AFL final teams. All locked in at the bounce of the Friday game. The ccmplicated scenario.
Don't forget to post your INs and OUTs on Thursday. That's done for two reasons. Firstly, so that we know a team has actually been chosen. If there is no change write No Change. Secondly, it as colour to the competition.
Speaking of color. 2022 Crystal Ball will be published once
