Rowell Tagging role, how does Dew still have the Job. A playing list of 40 and he (DEW) decides to use a contested ball winner as a tag. Honestly........

Can someone that watched the Hawks match closely explain to me Ward's score considering his stats & DT:SC ratio?
I was tossing up whether to burn a trade to Stephens next week as a rookie correction and his effort last night makes the decision all the more confusing.

Arrhh..... i have McCartin E on the bench and O'Driscoll on field. Looks as if O'Driscoll is the SUB for the fixture today.? Last thing i want is for O'Driscoll to be activated last quarter for 10pts. I'm thinking I need to burn a trade, who has the best chance of playing later this year
Definitely not worth the trade. O'Driscoll could come on early and score more than 60. There needs to be multiple streams of value from trades to get bench scores imo - make cash, dpp, C choice donut to play, rookie correction etc - and even then, they need high value.

Ratio is encouraging. There is a big score coming methinks. JS is ok particularly given the Hawks won!
Definitely encouraging signs , coaches slow the game down in the next few rounds in any case so it's just a matter of him (and other rookies) if they can adjust to the heat/pace/tempo of the game.
Not like their are cheap mid options screaming out "pick me , pick me" in any case.
Might be a slow burn and just hope for a couple of spike scores before trading him out.
Hawks still have a few Best 22 out though don't they ?
Anyone know whether Bowey took the role last week or moved to half back only this week?
Hibberd likely back so will watch if selected where he is named.
60 I50 for GC vs Bulldogs 51. Demons smashed the GC on most stats (disposals/marks) despite the close contest.
Essendon, Port and GWS to come.
If he averages 65 for next two games he will make $100k.
If he averages 85 for next two games he will make $125k.
If he averages 100 for next two games he will make $143k.
Whitfield and Chapman will be a watch for me to consider this trade.
The way I see it is that Salem went down halfway through the first quarter and at that time Bowey was playing a similar role to what he played last season which was a blend of attack and defence. T Mac was deployed down back to play as close to Salem’s role as possible for the remainder of the match.
I expect that at training during the week Goodwin has spoken to Bowey and basically said “You’re the man coming out of defence while Salem is out. We are going to look to get the ball in your hands whenever possible and you’re going to play mostly loose”. The return of Rivers effectively meant he took over the role that Bowey played round 1.
The good thing is that Bowey absolutely smashed the new role first go so I can’t see why he can’t continue. We obviously saw his absolute ceiling last night but I think he’s capable of scoring well over the next 5-7 weeks making some nice cash until Salem returns.
