There will be a lot of people falling for the "Gee, Knackers from North went really well today. I've got to get him into my team, no matter what!" trap.
There will be a good handful of players that score way higher than they normally might, due to the underdone opposition.

My suggestion?

At the end of the game, revert all the North scores using something like this:

Expected SC scores under a normal game: Nth 1600 v WC 1700
If it ends up something like 1950:1350, then you need to reduce the Norths players by just under 20%.

Ask yourself. Would you still be as excited to get Knackers into your team, if his 100 was actually an 80?

I agree Rowsus, Knackers Horne-Francis may well get 100 today but he'll usually be getting 65 to 70 imo.

Loving Hall.

Gotta get Xerri in next week. I know he's not up against much today but playing this role with the contested nature of his game, he's going to have some big scores.
They are 2 players I think will pass the revert test.
Hall scores 145 - revert to 118 - he's looking like a top 6 Def, assuming he stays fit.
Xerri scores 110 - revert to 90 - who wouldn't want a $208k player, that has gone 79 + 90, with great JS and good role?

Who tho, the list is Hall, Xerri & maybe Ziebell? Idk who is looking at anyone outside those

Hall was top 6 last year with only issue being durability. Xerri was touted preseason and ruck time is where we expect him to score. His 200k so 80+ is going to make cash. Ziebell was good previously I wouldn't take him tho.

It's interesting with people talking about trading Gawn out , Grundy certainly didn't look real special yesterday.

I guess it is a case of how much you want Heeney and seeing how your players perform today.
I think the appeal with Grundy (over Gawn) is that Grundy has a monopoly over the ruck position.

21/24 centre bounce attendances, 29 hitouts, (Kreuger had 0, Cameron had 1)
compared to Gawn
16/26 centre bounce attendances, 18 hitouts (Jackson had 16, McDonald had 1)

It's going to be tough for Gawn to be a top 3-4 ruck when he's in a ruck share (arguably this was known before the season, but it seems more prevalent than some were hoping)
Yes, plus at least Grundy has punched out a couple of tonnes. Gawn hasn't and although you could argue he 'has been unlucky with fa', he is scoring ****e and going to lose lots of coin.

I think Knackers is a good in and under player, but lacks the class and polish with his disposals. Won't be coming into my yeam anytime soon.

Asking as an impartial footy supporter, not as an Eagles supporter... Willie in any trouble for that tackle on LDU? Drove him forward, subbed out under concussion protocol I am pretty sure I heard them say.

Loving willies intensity, great to have him back, but jeepers he's walking a fine line

Will get looked at due to the final result, suspect it will be a suspension, again due to the concussion and sub out.

Nothing malicious in it, depends how they see it.
