Is Petracca worth paying for over Cripps?
I'm looking at this as well.
I've got cash to take Trac or Brayshaw instead of Cripps

Otherwise I can leave the $160k in the bank for a few weeks and use it for a quick upgrade (ie. If Rowell hits a wall or something)

Given the well-performed mid pricers I don't have align with underperforming premiums I feel it's worth a gamble on:
  • Whitfield > Hewett. Probably the easiest decision. Whitfield looks tentative and not up to his usual running standard, whereas Hewett is playing the role everyone hoped he would.
  • Gawn > English. Don't love it given ultimately I suspect I'll be bringing Gawn back in, but English has actually looked decent and is keeping Martin out.
  • Hough > Heeney/Green/Xerri. One of these things is not like the others, one of these things does not belong... But mainly I don't want to have almost $400k sitting in my kitty waiting for upgrades.
I'm not sure Heeney can back up his scoring given he's on pace for 88 goals for the year, but Green looks like the main man in GWS at the moment. Xerri... well, I had him, dropped him, and could get him again, but I'm not sure he justifies burning a trade to get him in.

While I’d like to go:
OUT: Gawn, Whitfield, Gov
In: Witts/English, Bowey, Brayshaw

I’ll calm down this week and wait for teams. Hoping Stef gets named so I don’t have to make an early decision on Gawn > English. Think it’s a chance, especially if Naughton is out.

Is Brayshaw top 8 MID? Certainly underpriced at the moment, I like that Fyfe is out short term, his TOG is higher both weeks (probably because Brodie’s is criminally low)

Far out, no idea

Obvious corrections for me are Tarryn Thomas and Wayne Milera, but the targets aren't obvious. Possibly Hewett (but worried as we haven't seen him with both Cerra and Walsh in the side) and Xerri/Brodie/Curnow/Gresham and they all have issues as well

So regarding Bowey - seem pretty risky. He actually had a touch more game time in round 1, FF has him playing defence, round 1 scores around 50 and round 2 around 150 - are we looking at round 1 as the outlier
Bowey has an obvious reason to attach to his spike - Salem being out. There's a strong case that Round 1 can be the outlier... however I don't think it's very hard to accurately project his results. Sure, there's a change in his role and responsibilities for the moment but he's still a 10 game player (IIRC) and there's no guarantee they will persist with him 100% in this role and there's also a reasonable chance the ball won't bounce his way every time like it did on the weekend.

Hewett and Xerri are no brainers

Salem went off in the first QTR, only played minimal game time didn't he?

I feel a lot of emotions in that comment, yet smashing it with a 17th rank for the week, well done Mudflaps.

I am torn between Hewett and Bowey. Hewett great value if he continues around 100-105 once Cerra back in and makes $100k, did do some defensive work on Bont, does this impact his scoring in time (Bont wasn't really firing so think it was a short tag). Bowey an easy $100k maybe $150k to be made.
Some frustration there for sure.

I am not against bringing Whitfield back in down the track but there is something not right. Either role or injury.

Considering Whitfield to Hewett.

Gawn is at a Lamborgini price throwing out a 2nd hand Camira scores ... he started slow last year too, but they seem to be preserving him by sharing the load. That money could be handy elsewhere.

My rookies are looking alright but don't have: Ginnivan, Bowey...

Gibcus and Ward might have to be slow burners unless I free up cash via Whitfield or Gawn. DeKoning is a concern.

Geez, there's going to be quite a few 'premos' that will drop a bucket load in price if they have another sub par game with all of the below at a BE of 160+and the first 5 over 200

Probably still the smallest list ever honestly.

Almost all SC relevant premiums are performing,
