Strategy 2022: Round 3 Trades

I traded Berry last week (shoulder issue was enough for me) after Cripps & Hewett dominated to free up money for them and avoid a boost this week.
I reckon that was the real decisive strategic move honestly - those boosts will be gold in upgrade season

Hey @Connoisseur do you know what Skinner's JS is like for the next few weeks? Will he play?
Boosts have more value in upgrade time when they can be used to get rookies off field and bring in extra premiums.
Right now people are using boosts to shuffle their teams around - I don't really see much value in that when we are all still under the $10,000,000 salary cap and you're likely just moving to a position you could (or someone else did) start at

Been a lot of vacillating for me over the best way to use my trades and $
Have enough ITB to get:
Berry > Cripps
McGovern > Heeney
I'm not super keen on Heeney but if I'm with the crowd it wont hurt as much if (when) he reverts to his mean.
Pretty keen on losing Whitfield to Bowey mainly from a cash management perspective as Whit could drop 50k over 3 rnds and Bowey could make 100k+. The cash left over would allow a straight swap next week of Lipinski > Petracca. A week or so later Bowey & Rowell could become Macrae.
Obviously a very fluid situation that will be influenced by scores and BE's but a fairly significant change to my team before upgrade season starts.
In a nutshell that's 6 trades
OUT:

McGovern
Whitfield
Lipinski
Bowey
Rowell
IN:
Cripps
Heeney
Petracca
Macrae
Bowey
Rookie on the bubble

Oh I'm not chasing Bowey's points, he's already got them (much like a rookie on the bubble) I'm locking in his 150 for 2 or 3 weeks, maybe longer if he has another worthy score within that time frame, even at 65's he'll still make enough to be worth the trade especially if I use him to get both Petracca and Macrae into my team.

Captains choices making a difference until upgrade season.
Now with the news that DPP additions have moved a round earlier might be time to use a boost and try and get a advantage somehow.
So are the DPP additions in rnd 6 now? Makes a bit of difference for me bringing in Bowey for 3 weeks as I'd have to field 1 of Skinner or De Koning for a week until I can move Daicos back.
*Edit....Further to this, I'd also have to find a Def rookie as well. Moving Daicos back and fielding 1 of Rachele/Stephens/Ward and bringing in a mid rookie (preferably on the bubble) would be much handier.

Still totally confused with this weeks trades. Had these locked in........
McGovern to Nic Martin. (can get another look at him this week and trade him in next week.)
Berry to Brayshaw. (loved his game last week.)
Looking at breakevens trades could be the way to go so now I'm thinking of biting the bullet and trading out Max.
Gawn 204 B/E to English 60 B/E
McGovern to Heeney -15 B/E
Berry to Clarry Jnr (Green) -19 B/E
Currently have 13 players with negative breakevens so may as well add another 2 and make it 15.

Irritating I end up with the team I had the day before lockout, but it cost me 4 trades to get there...
