team after:
GOV -> XERRI

preuss in is a massive win, can now loop him and hayes

just wanted thoughts on whetehr people think the gov -> xerri is worth it and thoughts on ay other trades that may be neccesary, starting brayshaw and hall has contradicted no heeney and cripps so not too worried there

personally I think the trade works for improving both scores on field and cash 💰 growth….

Xerri set to improve 60k this week ( takes him to 268k)
also has a rolling 120 in his score

Mgovern set to improve only 9k ( takes him to 265k)

Xerri also set to become ruck DPP eligible in coming rounds so can switch with Hayes ( provided you still have him by round 6)…

Starting to get really cold feet on removing Gawn as the weekend draws closer, even if he was to go at 110 this year he'd still very likely finish a top 2/3 ruck and end up in every single team. My conundrum is that I definitely want Hewett in for Chapman and also cannot pass on Rachele. Leaves me with the below situation needing 48k to make my desired moves happen.

Whitfield > Sicily, hell even Oliver > Petracca gets me my desired team but both moves in isolation feel bad. Any thoughts on where to find 48k? 1648596133776.png

One option is trading Ward down to a mid/fwd link to either Pedlar or Hollands ($123, 900)

Nothing concrete that I've heard, but to my eye he dosen't look 100%. Definately carrying something, and he is leaving my team this week for Bowey. If if Bowey reverts back to 70 ish type scores I haven't lost much points wise and gained valuable coin to upgrade a poor performing rookie/mid pricer to a premium elsewhere.
That's my thinking too .
Frees up additional cash allowing me to pick up Xerri and either Jackson ( $17000) or Brodie. $180000) in the kitty.
If Whitfield was out it would make the decision easy .

Hmm yeah, just doesn't do it for me on the cash gen front. Still believe Ward will be a good rookie with a big score not far away...
He would be the only rookie I'd trade, otherwise you'd need to trade Whitfield & keep Chapman if you want Hewett & Rachele

I'm okay with gawn out, I'm 85% sure I'll trade him back in. He should drop 100k and the two trades should make u over 200k easy

Need to fund Berry > Cripps and the only way for me to do that is...

1) Gawn to English (Grundy/English)
2) Whitfield to Bowey (Short/Ridley/Hewett/Bowey/McCartin/Hinge)

Option 2 leaves me really bare in DEF and is not something I'd prefer.
Thoughts?

Original thought was to move Gov up to Cripps - I only need $85k to make it happen. Cripps feels like he could be 110 from here for $450k which is a bargain really.

Gawn out for a Jackson/Witts type does it, but I've cooled on that.

The only other player who really might go to fund the trade is Berry, but he's starting to look better and could punish North this week. Anybody less than $180k who you would bring in for Berry if it got you Cripps?

I've got all the decent rookies already so we're looking at guys like Reef  or something crazy like Oliver -> Brayshaw .

This weekend there will be a huge divide between those happy and un-happy with how their trades panned out, I'm not expecting much middle ground.
Can't remember getting all my decisions correct. I'm prepared 😃
Would love for the worlds to align for a change

I too am one of the ppl unsure/dreading the Gawn decision. I've always bet against Gawn and regretted it, now I start him and he puts up two sub-par scores. The cash it frees up to drop him is very enticing and potentially strengthens other areas of the ground (Heeney, Cripps, Hewett etc.. who I dont currently own). Its one of those damned if I do, damned if I dont moments with the Beard and I'm sure to get it wrong..
