I'm taking a little comfort in knowing the great man, @Ben's Beasts is holding.

There's just no one else I like if I'm selling, which leads me to the Hayes/Preuss R2 merry-go-round which seems to ruin me each and every year. Fool me once...
I'm certainly not overly confident in Gawn and I probably should have listened to myself during the pre-season when I said Jackson would be more prominent this season thus negatively impacting Gawn.

However, it really doesn't look like there are any other must-have rucks and trading Gawn for another player in a different position is a risky proposition with Hayes/Preuss at R2 as you mentioned.

A nice 120 from Gawn tomorrow night would certainly put the mind at ease.

Is Gawn motivated, that is the question? Melbourne have 2 wins on the board with sloppy Gawn. Does he still need to carry the team on his shoulders or can he now step back bit and let others do the hard yards while he provides the spiritual leadership?
I'm sure he wants and needs to play well, but does he need to bust his foo foo valve?

Could also be slight role change into more of a leadership sort of thing, better to be there the whole season then get beaten up anymore as the fulltime ruck

Need to fund Berry > Cripps and the only way for me to do that is...

1) Gawn to English (Grundy/English)
2) Whitfield to Bowey (Short/Ridley/Hewett/Bowey/McCartin/Hinge)

Option 2 leaves me really bare in DEF and is not something I'd prefer.
Thoughts?
I would do all 3 trades but I also think I'm going to win lotto each week.

Would your opinion change if English wasn’t already in Your side?

This is something I'd never question let alone say out loud in fear of the bearded man tracking me down

Pretty happy with my overall team structure. My issues are that I don’t have Cripps, Hewett, Rowell or Xerri and have only got $20k in bank. Essentially I see 4 options that I could run with. I’m not overly certain I need to drop Gawn/ Steele but they are the only ways I can get some of these missed targets.
Any thoughts?

Bowey seems to have modeled himself on Caleb Daniel. Plays just like him. Has skills.
Expecting big things, but channeling my inner MJ, just in case.

Warning to current or prospective Cripps owners.
P Cripps when in my side: (RD12 2019 to RD14 2021): 98.74 from 39 (24/39 below 100, 8/39 120+)
P Cripps not in my side (RD1 2018 to RD11 2019 & RD15 2021 to current): 112.86 from 42 (15/42 below 100, 16/42 120+)
Well then , we just have to freeze your account for this week .

Wouldn’t count on this - St Kilda said today that Ryder is good to go and they aren’t sure if they’ll run 3 talls
They're playing Mason Wood on a wing at 1.92m, Hayes played some midfield/wing in the sanfl I believe, they could drop Wood who hasn't done much compared to Hayes so far this season.

Yeh but Hayes did very little last week too. So if they play him over wood this week which we all hope they do 1 he could be out by round 4. it’s a worst case scenario but think you need to consider it as a possibility

If trading Gawn meant not relying on Hayes at R2 then that would make the trade a lot more attractive.

I assume you would be running a Grundy/English ruck setup?
Yep Grundy & English would be the setup. Likeyou I’m not overly sold on any of the other rucks. Going the English route leaves me 210k in the bank which doesn’t sit too well in a round with such big price movements.

I wonder how many will boost trade Dunkley to English this round...could work for some of these proposed trade combinations?
