Why are we immediately trading Stephens?

Any info I’ve missed or just knee jerk season?

I imagine he’s just part of the wider trades people are making including myself, just need a few extras dollars to get to a player I want and a non-playing rookie gives me the best option to get there

Personally I am seeing it as an opportunity to grab a pod rookie, open up dpp with the forwards, having only used 1 trade I feel like it isn’t gonna hurt

Think I’ll stick fat with Stephens. Have Daicos at M8 so will save my trades.

If Mead looks good this week then Stephens to Mead next week nets 80k. Dow looks too sideways.

Will Stephens be sub or has he been dropped? If dropped gives me a look at VC (albeit only Butters tonight)

Mead is already into his 4th game tonight. Has had the one price rise and sits at $157k.

When will we know if Hayes will be the Medi-Sub this weekend? Is that not until Sunday? I’m going to be offline for a large part of this week starting tomorrow so won’t get a chance to play around with the team. If I need Oliver’s score VC tonight I may need to trade in a FD.

I've got Stephens and Owens doing nothing on my mid bench now and I'm also confused. Mead was barely viable before a price rise (more of the sort of downgrade you take later on), and Dow is a sideways trade who's one game away from being exactly where Stephens is now.

Darcy named as Freo's sole ruckman.
I have held him so far, and I will be rewarding him with the VC armband.

I'll be looking at the Stephens to Dow move.
If Stephens is the sub, which I think is likely, I will probably make the move. Can't risk Stephens being subbed on late and getting another crap score in his system, it's gonna be raining the entire time too, not his bread and butter.

Adding a F/M to my mid line will be very handy also.

If you have no rookie priced players FWD then yes, absolutely!

Hmm well with Stevens out what peoples thoughts on Stephens v Soligo as a trade out (for Martin via DPP).

$100k difference, but I’d think Stephens is a much better chance to come back in and make some cash (B/E is just 2).

I'm a little sceptical of the way the Tigers treat young mids, there's always Jack Ross or a similar nothing player waiting to come back in.

Fair enough. I grabbed Naish last week so already opened up the mid/fwd link with a decent rookie. Makes Dow less appealing for me.

Will wait until next round to trade Stephens with Erasmus, McInnes & Preuss on the bubble. Dow hadn't scored above 71 in his previous eight games - think it's unrealistic to expect regular 60+ scores from him in the immediate future. Far too sideways imo
