My thoughts;

Trade out Hinge
Trade out Rowell
Rosas is worth it, also look to trade in both Hayes and Hobbs on the bubble if both score well again this round
Trade out neither Hinge or McCartin if playing.
Trade Rowell for an upgrade only
Rosas appears to be worth it particularly to get Rowell up to a keeper. 2c
Well the trades I'm tossing around at the moment are:

JHF -> Preuss (Dunkley and Hayes)
Rowell to Pretacca
Hinge to Rosas (via Daicos and Brodie)

That would leave be with @$397k ITB and the following team:

From there it's a really easy path to Clarry through Berry + cash ITB next week and scope to double down on rookies if needs be.

I can't help but think that I might be slipping behind the 8-ball a little with this lineup though, given a lot of teams are looking to add 3-4 premos over the next couple of rounds to my two and I'd also be fading players like McDonald who could benefit from Hall's absence just as an example.

I could also bring in another premo down back (eg. Sicily), up forward (eg. Heeney with a little tinkering) or even someone like Bazlenka, Gresham or even Luke McDonald as potential keepers, which just muddies up the waters a little more.

At this stage:

Rowell, JHF and prob Stephens to

Premium (Trac, Steele, Parish)
Rosas

Can someone explain Preuss’ appeal apart from $$? does he have really good JS? (I don’t watch many GWS games) I’m not keen on having that many points on the bench each week, could be good cash gen though..

I have Gawn/Grundy so not going to trade any of them.

Cheers
Preuss at R3 will probably make more cash than every other rookie price player, Preuss at R2 will probably score more than any rookie priced player. Just needs to remain injury free.

Daicos is averaging more than Blakey.

Daicos still has bucket loads of cash to make.

Daicos has DPP which is a further advantage when doing trades.

Can't see the point in that trade personally.

Would be trying to get Blakey up to a premium at the appropriate time.

Can't you get Blakey to a Miller , Oliver , Parish, Steele , Walsh type via Daicos by including a downgrade ?
No way would I trade Daicos atm.

Depends what your 3 trades are & how much will that improve your team.

What do you have in mind & what is your current team?
Current team is...

Def- Short, Hewett, Ridley, Rioli, McCartin, SDK... Gibcus, Sinn

Mid- Macrae, Neale, Miller, Cripps, Rowell, Daicos, JHF... Ward, Stephens, McDonald

Ruck- Grundy, English...Dixon

Fwd- Dunks, Butters, Cogs, Brodie, Xerri, Martin... Rachele, Hayes

Trades would most likely be, Rowell, Stephens (for Preuss) and probably another failed rookie with a bit of cash on them or Rachele or someone (for Rosas)
Its just a matter of choosing the right prem i guess
With a bit of dpp magic it should all work

Oliver’s BE is 174 this week, maybe wait a week or 2.
In a perfect world yes, but Oliver $20-$30K less doesn’t worry me to much, could even pump out a 150 vs Tigers.

Not really keen on some of the others around his price and want the upgrade this week. Will have another look thou.

Your missing a mid?

Maybe look at Gibcus (Daicos to defence & onfield) DP Rachele to Mids/ English Fwd, Preuss to rucks.

Stephens > Rosas via Martin

Rowell > Petracca or other premium mid

Any advice on what I should do this week? Had a terrible start and really don't want to just end up making it even worse.

Depends on who you're willing to trade out mainly. Rosas & Preuss the main cash cows this week. I realise Durdin does have a -4 B/E but unless you're willing to field one of Dixon/Durdin/Rosas or miss out in Rosas then Durdin unfortunately needs to go early.

Secondly you need to decide now if you want both Preuss & S Mayes. Meaning you'll like need to offload Grundy this week or Witts next week.

So are you willingly to ditch Grund?

IF YES
OPTION 1

OUT: Grundy, Durdin & McCartin.
IN: Preuss, Rosas, (719k for a mid) take your pick from Steele/Brayshaw/Trac/Laird/Mills

Team would then be:
DEF: Stewart, Crisp, Short, Hewett, Daicos, NOD (Hinge, SDK)
MID: Macrae, Neale, Steele, Miller, Cripps, Rowell, Brodie, JHF (Rachele, Ward, MacDonald)
RUC: Witts, Preuss (Dixon)
FWD: Dunkley, Heeney, Butters, Cogs, Xerri, Martin (Hayes, Rosas)

IF NO
OPTION 2

OUT: Durdin, JHF & Hinge
IN: Rosas, Preuss & (486k for a player) Parker or Gresham

Team would then be:
DEF: Stewart, Crisp, Short, Hewett, Daicos, NOD (McCartin, SDK)
MID: Macrae, Neale, Miller, Cripps, Rowell, Parker/Gresham, Brodie, Martin (Rachele, Ward, MacDonald)
RUC: Grundy, Witts (Preuss)
FWD: Dunkley, Heeney, Butters, Cogs, Xerri, Hayes (Dixon, Rosas)

I guess with the 2nd option you can still grab S Hayes next week at the expense of Witts.

OPTION 3
Are you willing to trade Rowell too?
OUT: Grundy, Rowell & JHF
IN: Preuss, Parker & Brayshaw

Team would then be:
DEF: Stewart, Crisp, Short, Hewett, Daicos, Hinge (McCartin, SDK)
MID: Macrae, Neale, Miller, Brayshaw, Cripps, Brodie, NOD, Martin (Rachele, Ward, MacDonald)
RUC: Witts, Preuss (Dixon)
FWD: Dunkley, Heeney, Parker, Butters, Cogs, Xerri (Hayes, Durdin)

Good luck with whatever you decide.

My initial thought was to do option 3 and be aggressive, Rowell isnt going to be a keeper so may aswell ship him at this point, JHF maybe little more coin to make but 39 in the rolling and Carlton and Geelong the next fortnight, want Preuss and Hayes so a ruck has to go and Grundy is the one with the higher BE with a worse score in the rolling average so is the logical one to downgrade, just got to decide on the combo of premos I want to bring in for Rowell and JHF really.
