NOD, Rachele, and one of J Hayes or Dixon - > Parker, McComb, and one of Strnadica or Clark.

Leaves me with just three genuine rookies on field - Daicos, Martin, and S Hayes or Strnadica depending how the former goes.

Berry/Rachele/Mcartin > Petracca/Parker/McComb

Can't see these trades changing. Only weak spot is the Daicos/NOD combo as D5/D6, but hopefully can get through one more round with them and then boost the defence next week with another trade boost.

What do we think of Pendlebury? Seems to have settled into that half back role nicely. Taking kick ins, getting involved through the midfield, pretty durable. I think he can hold a 105 average for the season for 35k cheaper than Crisp/Sinclair types. Hard to know what a top 6 defender has to average this year though; maybe it's closer to 110.
Used to be durable.

Berry > Wines
BJ Williams > Strnadicaptain

Not locked in, but feel like Wines and Port are turning the corner a bit.
Will grab Clark next week and preserve the boost

What's the word on Begg?
Would you think about taking him over Strnadica on exposed form at all?

Did well with my trade ins this week, the two Luke's - McDonald and Parker

This week target is Todd Goldstein. Not sure if I will double up and take Todd Marshall.

All jokes aside. Have a look at Goldy. Great option for the next 6 games and then upgrade at his bye. Xerri not back for a while and CCJ no good (not injured, just NO GOOD). Will be number 1 ruck for at least 3, if not all 6 games.

Not without a second sighting, I was pretty happy with his performance first up though which was a big surprise for even the most die-hard Collingwood fan I reckon ...

... just not as a ruckman.

He got totally smashed in the ruck contests and even though Witts is an imposing opponent Begg looks like he is just too short and small in frame to compete well against any AFL-standard ruckman right now. There was one ruck contest in particular where he tried to beat Witts by out-jumping him and it almost looked like it might have worked right up to the point where they came into contact and he bounced off Witts like a rubber ball (and the sheer difference in size, not just height but size, became glaringly apparent).

Having said that was *excellent* at ground level - two or three times he actually sharked a Witts tap *after* losing the ruck contest.

Before you ask, no he didn't just avoid the tap altogether like you see sometimes with an overmatched ruckman, rather he contested (and lost) the tap and then reacted quickly enough at ground level to actually shark the tap and get the clearance before anyone else could get their hands on the ball.

I'm not sure what he will end up becoming but there was a lot to like in how he performed today.

For SC he is basically not going to get many cheap points for his ruckwork so it'll be hard to see how he'll score consistently enough to be a cash cow, but I'll still keep an eye on him next round for sure just to see if there are any positive signs in his actual ruck work versus some tough competition in Nank and Soldo.

Excellent summary 👏

@Rumbler
Now is the time to present me with a compelling case for Goldstein and Stewart instead of Gawn and rookie, to ensure Gawn continues on his merry way to another 125+ season average. ;)

*** - I was playing with my trades, and placed Goldy in. Then reversed my trades and came here, as I was sure someone here would get me back to my sanity - I came here for some SANITY - lol

Pretty easy for me this week

Berry -> Cripps
Hayes -> Clark

Running 4 rookies on field + Blakey

Missing a lot of the big premos such as Gawn Stewart Steele okiver sicily but only need a couple good weeks in a row from my premos and some low games from the big guys to get back

Current rank 5.3k
