That's a really good point, wonder what the reasoning is there? If there's listed players available they should be playing for sure.
Don't agree with that at all.... And that's not how it works.

At not just our club... but all clubs. There a handful of very young, inexperienced kids who just simply aren't ready to play senior footy without a few additional pre-season's under the belt... the classic "Project" player.

As I stated above... We have selected all available midfield listed players. We needed another midfielder to play hence Florenca's selection.

The Jamieson selection over Dixon is a totally different issue. That was a choice over which "Tall" we wanted to play in the ruck.

I wouldn't have agreed with bringing in a WAFL top-up ruck, when we have 2-3 listed available player who could play that position.

I don't think it was so much about some players not being ready (we clearly saw that against North) but what the rules actually said. I was under the impression that they had to use all their listed players first but that "where reasonable" caveat probably covers the situation the Eagles find themselves in right now.

Doesn’t seem reasonable to me from an SC perspective :p

So he's fine to travel as an emergency/medi-sub possibly but not play is what you're saying

I'm saying he's clearly going to be playing as the sub... as he should be, over playing another Covid top-up player.

Jamieson over Dixon was a choice over which "Tall" we wanted to play in the ruck in our first 22.

It's actually not that hard to understand.
