Out: D Stephens, J Gibcus and J Steele
In: G Clark, R Thompson/B Khamis and R Laird

Approx $250,000 remaining to upgrade to a defensive premium next round. If you intend to trade one or both of Martin and Coniglio, I would prefer to opt for a defender since there is a lack of appealing options up forward and swinging Rioli forward means fielding one of Durdin, Rosas or Rioli which I would prefer to avoid. Ideally I would hold until their bye and reassess dependent on your bye structure.
This trade seems like the go! Avoiding one of them small forwards would be gold, all 3 of them have scored under 20 this season
Thanks for the suggestion, most likely what i will go with!

Using my third boost to go:
Steele, Whitfield and Ward to Clark, Sicily and Petracca. Helps my bye situation immensely.

17 trades left, 2 boosts and my non-premiums on field are Brodie, Cogs, Martin, Preuss and Hayes.

Season is shot as I'm sitting at 24k but hoping I can kick-start things from here.

Bad idea. You want as much flexibility as possible. D/M is a much better idea. I'd also pick the most likely to play even if it's only a faint chance.
Have opted to go for either Buku or Thompson (thompson seems to have the JS, but SP is piss poor - but leaning that way). I'll move Butters on over Martin as I think they average similar for the next few weeks. And whichever one I keep now is moved on in 2 more weeks time anyway.

Reckon Cogs gets at least one more look with the side they've named, he can't play forward when they've got Hogan,Himmelberg,Riccardi,Sproule,Greene and Hill all named surely.
He barely touched the ball after he picked up the back knock last week and has a 146 breakeven.

Even Oliver couldn’t score 100 on West Coast last week, so a monster midfielder score is hardly guaranteed against them.

The risk of Coniglio dropping 40K is just too high for me.

My Defence is

Short, Crisp, Hewett, Zorko, Whitfield, Daicos (McCartin, SDK)

Whitfield to… who would you go for?

I’m included to steer clear of Siciliy, as much as it will hurt (am I being stubborn? His scoring and his bye are actually very attractive!)

Two round 12 bye premiums and two round 14 bye premiums. So I think a round 13 premium is the go.

Stewart is my preferred choice from that bye.

Dawson if you’re on a budget.

I'm trading out Steele and to help my bye structure am swinging Butters/Coniglio into mid (holding Coniglio but with no confidence). I'm trading in a forward with round 13 bye.

Heeney, Liberatore, Parker or Treloar?

Bontempelli 😉

Of the current players who are fwd eligible though, I like Parker most.

The Connoisseur what is your reasoning turfing Martin over Coniglio
Both share the RD12 bye which I am struggling with and are the easiest avenue to Laird, as cash gen will likely hit a roadblock with Hamilton, Rioli, Rosas and the majority of those aforementioned also sharing the RD12 bye. The Whitfield out could provide both a reprieve but there are a lack of options I am interested in at the current price range and would prefer to field P McCartin in the absence of Whitfield as I feel more points can be made over this and upcoming rounds by bringing in my seventh mid premium. Ideally if I had stuck to my original plan of Laird instead of Darcy last round then I would likely be trading Whitfield and keeping Martin at least a round longer.

Martin has a very friendly SC game style but whoever is kept will be a season long hold to provide coverage in the mids when needed and in that case I would prefer to hold Coniglio.

Worth noting my midfield premos are:
R12 bye: Cripps
R13 bye: Macrae, Touk, Smith,
R14 bye: Oliver, Petracca, Neale

Had Steele but shifting him to Touk this week.

Worth pushing for a R12 bye player instead, or fix that issue in R13/14?

I thought about Bont and Smith. Even thought about not trading Steele this week and just fielding Clark and reassessing the DPP numbers next week. Playing for league and have easy ride this week. Can't decide.

I Heeney- Nicely priced and is currently ranked 7th for Total Tackles this season. This provides a nice base along with regularly hitting the scoreboard and his contested marking.

T Liberatore- Tad expensive for mine and I would prefer to wait to see if his teammates in B Smith and M Bontempelli receive dual position status as I would rather pay a similar amount for them.

L Parker- Goal kicking, tackling and contested marking midfielder reduces his dependence on reaching the 30 odd disposal range compared to most of his midfield counterparts. Still a solid selection at his price range.

A Treloar- Historically reliant on accumulating a large amount of the ball to compensate for below average disposal efficiency. Ceiling capped at the Dogs by rarely hitting the mid 30 disposal range we were accustomed to during his time at the Pies. Still priced fairly and the dual position status could come in handy to cover midfield outs depending on your forward depth.

I think Parker is the pick of the bunch.

Just done something I'd never thought I'd do....

Checked out Rory Thompson's career SC stats!!

Anyway now that I've done that I need to go find a ruler, I have a line to rule.

Rory Thompson has averaged 70 over a full season before with scores of 105, 103, 98, 97 & 95. Reached a peak price of 395K!

The man isn't completely allergic to a ton ;)

Anyone know the projection of Coniglio ?
Also Sam DeKoning?

Trying to work out if Cogs will drop too much and then I will be forced to hold as I will not be able to turn into a premo via DeKoning next week if he pulls out another low score.
Can get Zorko but not sold on him

Parker. Just does not miss games.

I worry that Dusty may miss more games due to his wellbeing plus the whispers of the move to Sydney may impact his performance.
To be fair to Dusty, 2017 there was media talk the entire season around his contract status and if he would be leaving and it was best season of his career. I don’t think he pays any attention to media
