I think we also underestimate how hard it is for some of the blokes from the north especially the Tiwi Islanders to come all the way down here and live what is basically an alien lifestyle, learn a new language and adapt whilst being a professional athlete. Was a great player to watch and added a lot of value to your side as well.
Yeah, the extent of these difficulties is massive - and part of the reason he actually finds indigenous round difficult. When he left the islands to pursue an AFL dream, he was more or less rejected by his people. All part of the problems he's had to deal with. Designed the jumper for this week as well, and won't get to run out in it. We will miss him massively on and off feild.

Who am I? I just scored 37, have a b/e of 146, and despite being in my 11th season the spot I got picked in the draft 12 years ago is still in the top 3 attributes people can come up with to describe me.

(FWIW I'm holding Coniglio but think both choices are rational and don't like that kind of reductive thinking. C'mon Freako you're better than that!)
It was either him or Martin and I'm trading Cogs - don't think he's a keeper even if he improves - especially now that the DPP guys are likely to come in as options - so not risking the $40k+

Then we better reduce the weight applied to his performance last week and the season lows recorded in most key categories. ;)
He's never played a full season. In his prime as one GWS's first choice mids he had 2 years as a decent forward keeper. He's now past his prime, in a job share role in a team that is not thinking about finals. We should be grateful he played this many games and cash him in. How many would have picked him if he was $500k at the start of the year?
His chances of missing games are higher than his chances of turning into Leigh Matthews.

Yeah the only real question people need to answer is whether they want him in their final team. I think I probably do want him as my f7/m9 so i'll keep him, but it's a close decision for me.

I didn't want him in my starting side, let alone my final side, but the value made him unavoidable. I'm trading him, and also expecting him to now score a 200 to back up last round as soon as I get rid of him.

Mate if you can afford to do that its a great option but don't think I'll have the luxury. I also have De Goey and Butters so not short of potential F7/M9 options as NONE of them look like perma onfield options but none are as urgent as Cogs

Humble pie time  the general 'Cogs' discussion has made me realise that I have a number of 'Cogs' type players (Cogs, De Goey, Butters, Cameron, Preuss) and I have no idea which ones (if any) will be keepers. I am now thinking that the prudent option is to wait and see which ones turn out the worst and prioritise them. Cogs may not be the worst of that bunch so will risk holding him.

Appreciate the discussion guys - makes you think through things.

The Cogs decision is killing me.
Have been aggressive with trades this year and currently sit inside the top 1000.
Want Oliver and/or RD 14 bye players as RD13 is the worst for me.
Thinking one of the following:

1. Cogs, SDK to Oliver & Rookie
2. Cogs, CMcDonald to Zorko & rookie
3. Hold and hope Cogs goes ok

Cameron and De Goey appeal as trade outs because you can slingshot them. I've been planning to hold Cogs and trade Brodie for that reason, although that is becoming less and less appealing. But I think it still makes sense to err on the side of holding unless you're pretty sure you don't want him in your final side.
