Yeah, I can't justify it. Going to need all the cash I can get. If I can get the deadweight and rookies off my team I'll look again, but for now I'm going Dawson.

Was also looking at Sinclair, but really short on Rd. 12 players, and only two defenders as its stands, one being a rookie.

I think Sicily is too expensive unless he is going to save a donut in Rd 13.

I actually think Sicily is a must-have as a top 6 premium with the R14 bye.

Nah, when a defender gets that expensive I either wait for the drop in price or accept that I just won't own them, prefer to spend that kind of money in the midfield.

leaves the team in great position with 19 trades

got a loop in each line this week, need the pods to fire and the negative posd to stay low and hopefully jump back into top 1%

Do you intend on keeping Blakey for the remainder of the season and what is your expectation in terms of average? I would prefer to pay extra for a keeper with a higher scoring potential down back.

Good quality playing rookies to downgrade to at this point of the season are hen's teeth. Much more important to get the good ones than to get a fully-priced premo. Your time to get Laird will come, but Clark will be gone after this week.

An option could be
Out: S De Koning and C MacDonald
In: G Clark (via N Daicos) and R Thompson/ B Khamis (via C Hamilton and P McCartin)

Just shy of $300,000 for an upgrade next round or if you have a boost remaining you could use it to Martin into Laird (via Hamilton) and play McCartin at F6.
