An option could be
Out: S De Koning and C MacDonald
In: G Clark (via N Daicos) and R Thompson/ B Khamis (via C Hamilton and P McCartin)

Just shy of $300,000 for an upgrade next round or if you have a boost remaining you could use it to Martin into Laird (via Hamilton) and play McCartin at F6.
Like it alot 👍 differently gives me something to think about cheers

Would it be possible to post your side before trades and provide remaining trades, salary and boosts to further assist with any recommendations?

Do you intend on keeping Blakey for the remainder of the season and what is your expectation in terms of average? I would prefer to pay extra for a keeper with a higher scoring potential down back.

Sorry in 3 parts - kept saying file is too large …

Blakey in his current role I think could push 100 average - with taking kicks ins, swans wanting the ball in his hands to take aggressive option. Round 13 bye suits me also

I'm thinking this:

1653017579361.png

Really need to get Oliver, as not having him may start to hurt. His BE is 146 but he could easily achieve that, and I put off getting him every week.
Dusty could be ready to explode. Would leave $130k for future upgrades.

Would leave:
Daicos at D6
Clark at M8
Brodie at F6

Left to potentially upgrade. 16 trades but 0 boosts left after the above.

Bye split:
Round 12: 19 playing
Round 13: 17 playing
Round 14: 20 playing

Thoughts?

Butting in here but I reckon you're in a good position to hold Whitfield, with no Ridley and McCartin loopable on the bench. I think getting R Thompson (or Khamis if you prefer, which I don't) is important for you to access SDK cash. (I know you're keen on Fahey but if he comes through you can still do McCartin to him in RD13 which would be ideal).

If I were you I'd be doing SDK, McDonald, N Martin for R Thompson, Clark, Walsh (I like Walsh and think a RD12 mid suits you). Finishes mids, brings Butters home to forwards, leaves 130k in bank to help upgrade S Hayes at his bye (either one of Gawn or Darcy would give you 2 playing rucks through the byes, assuming Dixon stays in the team).

By my cursory glance I reckon you'll have enough cash gen on the bench then to finesse team with some nice slingshot trades through byes and end up with either Coniglio or Whitfield in a looping swing spot, and the other one upgraded.

If you really like Blakey (full disclosure: I don't) you could get him instead of Walsh and then finish mids this week.

Agree with the points raised by @stephen and do not see the urgency on Blakey. Trading three of De Koning, Stephens/MacDonald and Martin should provide enough cash for your choice of midfielder whilst pushing Butters back to the forward line.

Pretty sure this will be my moves this week.

Could do this, but Hayes still has money to make and Sicily is too expensive at the moment. Wines could also be Trac, or a number of players in this iteration as well, but have to squeeze every dollar I think.

I much prefer the first one!

Trac vs Wines - I think Petracca wins easily on points scored and the difference in price isn't significant enough to skew that in Wines' favour. I rate Wines and think he can score well, but the value was probably there a week ago at ~$510k, where as now I think the extra cash to take him to a better player (and better bye potentially) makes it worth it.

Dawson vs Sicily - I wholeheartedly think Sicily is overpriced. The risk of a bad game or injury are real, and he could easily drop a Stinker and be gettable for Dawson's price later in the season. I think Dawson will give you a consistent 95-110, with a few spike 12-130 score in there, and should have a super steady and consistent role. The $60k saving is icing on the cake and will be super helpful when looking at other upgrades.

Clark vs Clark - tough one but I like Clarke.

Side note - don't think it's worth trading Hayes until his bye as he could still make some decent cash vs Geelong and Essendon.

Excellent advice, much appreciated 👍

I can see why you are such a gun at fantasy sport games 👏

I am doing the exact trade ins in the first option. Would love to some how find the extra 60k for Oliver, but just can't seem to eek it out of any options I like. Petracca not the worst consolation prize I suppose!

Very much feel like I'm just fading into irrelevance this year. 18 trades left (one boost), $150k bank.

Obviously Steele has to go, and as Stephens has no loop value I think he's probably gone too. My plan is to look at McCartin's score at D7 tonight and assess from there, but the first part of my plan is to get Thompson to open up my DEF line.

If McCartin goes rubbish, or cops an injury, O'Driscoll then goes on the chopping block - leaving $1,115,700 for two players in any position (besides ruck). Given how isolated my mid line is (if McComb misses one of the next two games and misses out on FWD DPP I am in particular strife) and that Steele is my only premium on the round 12 bye I probably need to replace him with another one. That has me looking at Wines, Kelly and Walsh.

The other one can be anyone but I'm finding it pretty hard to go past Brayshaw at 557k... But there's still the dire situation in the forwards to contend with, which pushes me towards gambling that Bont or Bailey get DPP...

Thanks mate. I've already got Oliver - and I think Trac still presents value out of those around his price.

I traded Hewett out when he got hurt.

Contemplating a trade back in this week. He seems the goods.

He a top 6 defender? Is it a bit wasteful trading in multiple round 12 bye players?
