He's been nuffy'ing on my bench for a little while now.
Surely makes money if he plays 2 or 3 games.
Probably got 4-5 players vying for that last playing spot.

Peirson , Renshaw + their 3 OS bats all locks , anyone out of Brown , Bryant , Heazlett , Wildermuth could slot in.

Not sure wkts against Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Malta are the form you are looking for in BBL.
Wicketless against the powerhouse teams from Luxembourg and the Czech Republic!
Now you are talking , Sabawoon Davizi (3 x T20I 💯's)

Just looked up Romania's ranking , currently 46th

Joe Clarke in the Abu Dhabi T10 last month (most recent first):

14 (12)
23 (12)
25 (10)
24 (15)
9 (11)
0 (1)

It's a different format, but he's been getting starts, and his strike rate has been very good in 3 of 6 innings.

Maybe he's more viable than I had thought?

He's been in and out of my team, but is back in now.

I do like him as a pick, with a double first up, I think he's a reasonable pick, I guess Phillippee is the alternate, but maybe Clarke x 2 is a reasonable option over him.

This is where I was heading.

Not difficult to trade out either. It does mean you need to bring in a keeper in R2, but given R1 keepers seem to be the major stumbling block, maybe that’s not so bad!

Clarke is in for me atm. My set and forget keeper. Bench round 2 to get Inglis and Gilkes on, then no more byes for Clarke

Pavel played for a C Grade indoor cricket team of mine once when I was away. Finished with a negative contribution (Runs scored - runs conceded) iirc.

Also had a game I missed when we had Basil Zempilas and Brad Hogg played for us (our team was named the Zempilas fan club, his radio show got wind of it and he played a game for us). Brad Hogg bowling to C Graders ended in a positive contribution haha.

He did nominate himself for the draft , not sure if CA accepted it or not 😀

Totally agree some serious talent playing for Ireland , Namibia , Netherlands , Scotland & Zimbabwe etc that continually get overlooked.

Exactly just sitting in the dressing room and training would be massive benefit.

Think the Renegades had a PNG player years ago on their list , Siaka from memory , Mire from Zimbabwe was involved another season.
Hope he gets to stay around the team for some of the season. Benefits the game long term having some of these lower ranked teams getting exposure to elite environments. Obviously loves the game and seems like a good character.

Also agree some players in the World Cup for those teams looked like they’d be good pick ups. Couldn’t do any worse than some of the imports we’ve had over the years.

Always interesting to see, thanks for sharing.

Can I check please - are the players outside of the XI listed in order as you see it (at least amongst the white selections)?

Obviously sides will tend to replace a quick with a quick, and so on, but I’m interested in whether the order of player 12-15 or so reflects your views on their quality/likelihood of playing as well.
Was just random order but I can add that next time I post the line ups maybe Monday for a final check now we have seen more info with warm games, Player signings, injuries etc.

Reading on Foxsports looks like an ambassadorial role for the first 2 matches

I don't particularly like Clarke as a starter at his price $153,800.
First, his form this year is down on previous years.
Vitality blast: 2022 - 21.78 av, at 151.74 SR; 2021 - 37.09 av. at 180.53 SR
Men's 100: 2022 - 12.75 av.. at 92.72 SR; 2021 - 18.14 av. at 151.19 SR
Abu Dhabi T10: 2022 - 15.83 av. at 155.73 SR; 2021 - DNP. To put Clarke's scoring into perspective: his is the 6th best average on his team with the best 63.66 at 244.87 SR; 28.75 at 230.00 SR; 26.00 at 139.28 etc

Second, his early BBL innings aren't great.
BBL 10: 10, 34, 0 then a string of DNP
BBL 11: 1, 13, 0, 0, 52, 85, 52 etc

So even with a DGR to start with I'm happy to wait.

Just a friendly reminder to all.
Promoting rival sites, that may lead to decreased traffic on our site, is not something we usually allow.
These posts about SC Pbook, have probably gone over what we usually permit, when it is all promotion, and no sharing of info, with the relevant credit given where it is due.
Hi Rowsus, firstly it has been great to be a member of this thread, this year and last. I note that a similar warning was not given to another poster regarding the Honeyball mag, "Bloody hell the Honeyball mag is a good read. Highly recommend, some great insights." Was that promotion or just a comment?
I follow this thread, Honeyball tweets, subscribe to SC Playbook, follow the Adrianasaurus podcast etc. I assume that like a lot of us I gather information from a range of sources.
There is no benefit to me in any way from members of this thread subscribing to SC Playbook, I was merely responding to questions from other members.
I may not agree entirely with you however henceforth will not mention any other information provider.
All the best,
Gumwah
