Just watching back the footage of the stars v gades warm up and am impressed enough with Clarke’s timing to get him in. Rogers (of the stars variety) was looking quite good before he holed out to cover as well. A sneaky POD that’s for sure.
Clarke looked the goods. Opening and keeping, on a double, ability to hold and get Inglis/Gilkes on round 2, set and forget keeper. Lot to like imo

Just a quick plug for the fan-favourite (okay, maybe that's just me) doubles competition that will be getting running alongside the BBL season. I bring this up because we currently have an odd number of players, just one more and I can close entries. All administration is done by me, you don't have to do anything other than play the game as you normally would!

" Peter Siddle's next opponent is Sydney Sixers and historically he plays well against them , with a projected score of 105 "

Yet when you go to his Player Profile and click on his stats , it shows his Ave v SS is 20.9 from 8 games , highest of 51 , lowest of 3

Where do they get 105 from ? 🤔

Hi Rowsus, firstly it has been great to be a member of this thread, this year and last. I note that a similar warning was not given to another poster regarding the Honeyball mag, "Bloody hell the Honeyball mag is a good read. Highly recommend, some great insights." Was that promotion or just a comment?
I follow this thread, Honeyball tweets, subscribe to SC Playbook, follow the Adrianasaurus podcast etc. I assume that like a lot of us I gather information from a range of sources.
There is no benefit to me in any way from members of this thread subscribing to SC Playbook, I was merely responding to questions from other members.
I may not agree entirely with you however henceforth will not mention any other information provider.
All the best,
Gumwah
Hi Gumwah
this site has been going for over 11 years now. When Jay set it up, he basically only had 2 rules.
1. People needed to act, talk and treat each other decently.
2. Other sites won't promote us, so we won't promote them.
Promoting a magazine is not going to diminish our traffic. Promoting a site, whether it be subscription or not, that offers a chat (on WhatsApp) could diminish our traffic. No one at any stage thought you personally stood to benefit from this. I can assure you, if we thought that you would benefit from promoting it, every post referring to it would have been very quickly deleted. This has happened more than once in the past!
We are also very big on people crediting sources of information, as well as providing sources. If someone repeats, copies, quotes information from another site, we expect that site to be credited for being the source. We have had many instances in the past, where posts, or pieces of work, posted by our members, have been copied to rival sites. Very rarely was SCS credited with being the origin of that work! We won't play that game, and insist on credit, where credit is due.
We don't stop people mentioning other sites, but draw the line on them being promoted. The only reason your posts weren't deleted, is there were some discussion amongst the leadership group, as to whether they crossed the line or not. As it wasn't unanimous, in fact it was fairly evenly split, we decided a warning/explanation was at least warranted.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of where we are at.

What are peoples bench numbers RD2 for donuts like?

I'm always getting either 5 donuts, or 4 donuts + an extra SGR player (basically zero cover)
eg. 10 DGR + 1 SGR, or 9 DGR + 2 SGR

Just wondering whether I should have more cover, and what playing numbers others will have on their bench RD2.

thinking about just carrying 2 perth rd1, then holding stoin or/& zampa and using them as straight swaps for rd2 donuts, then using thunder guys rd3, then look at a specialist donut round 4

Thanks. In RD2, with Stoinis and Zampa as two. And possibly a 3rd being WKP (not knowing your team). Will the other two on bench also be donuts, or will they be playable cover if needed?

Is the story of Jay and the creation of the site somewhere on here? Would love to read about it.

2 days out as still a bit unsure about the keeper position, which in turn sets up the rest of the team

Atm have Clarke and looking at him as a set and forget but then worried about recent form

Wade is the value guy

Phillipe and Billings are there as proven types also. Hard call

Do you need a set and forget keeper?
