Lots of good ruck talk. But not much about Grundy, averaged 103 off 6 games, I assume that will see him priced at around 560k. Will he get any discount on that? Seems everyone has just ruled a line through him. Me included.

But devils advocate, Grundy is 28. Gawn turns 31 this month. Did they bring in a back up ruck? Or a new ruck with gawn pinch hitting but playing mostly forward? Will he even play every game, or will they rotate the 2 with planned rests for a full on flag assault in September? What did they say that got him there, or were Collingwood purely moving on a salary cap liability? So many Qs from a supercoach perspective.

Surely one of them goes 105+ tapping it down the throat of one of, if not the best, midfields in the league? I'm 99.9% on not starting him. Too much uncertainty how he will play with Gawn. But really wondering if this will this be one of those oh so obvious hindsight picks come round 22..

I am red hot on Bont who I haven't seen mentioned too much
Dogs have brought in Lobb who will play backup ruck minutes, a task that at times also fell to Bont. Plus with the expected continual improvement of Ugle-Hagan and Darcy as well as Naughton their tall forward stocks are now quite strong as opposed to previous years and he wouldn't be required to spend time there. Dunkley being gone is one less guy that needs midfield minutes as well.
Can see a full time midfield Brownlow season for Bont coming up

Talks of Tarryn Thomas training as a running defender with kickout duties, I think that role suits his pace and flair so I'll be watching that
Will also be watching how the Grundy/Gawn split works. Early thought is Gawn is a much more capable forward than Grundy so I'd expect Grundy to be the main ruck at 501k is more intriguing than most expected when he went to Melbourne and put a line through him

Other than those its the usual suspects for me that have already been mentioned a lot
First picked player for me every year. Might not win you the comp, but I just loving watching him play

Why never again for maccrae?
Maybe because he averaged 115 last season which is less than the previous 3 years or so. I'm happy to start him this season, especially without Dunkley there. He finished the year on 536k and averaging 115. Bont and Macrae will probably be huge this year in SC...hoping so anyway.

Very interesting discussion around Macrae. Only had 3 scores above 120 from round 6 last year and averaged 109.2 from then as well.

The ceiling just wasn't there on a consistent basis last year. Dunkley leaving does help but with Smith improving and Treloar moving back into the mids will that still cap his ceiling.

Hard to ignore his previous 4 seasons at 120+ but think Bont at a similar price seems the better pick but could easily pick both especially if something comes out about Macrae carrying an injury last year which could be the case especially with his low TOG in some games last year.

Yeah, great to watch, makes hints look easy and always seems to have time to make correct decision. The Bont and Macrae will
Yeah, was the first name I looked for.

Still Tempting, should be fitter and cannot see him playing anywhere else than inside mid.

TEAM PICKER OPEN for those with SC Gold!
For those who have webscraping abilities or come across an Excel sheet with player details (position, price, average, etc) @Goodie's Guns and myself would appreciate a copy for setting up our Dynasty/Keeper Leagues for the 2023 season.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't mind a copy too, that way I can recreate the Excel team picker I created a couple of years back for anyone without the official Team Picker.
