I think Bazley is a good pick regardless but if they go with six bowlers which is unlikely then his stocks decrease somewhat.

Renshaw is dependent on whether Kuhnemann is selected. I think he becomes an important pick if Kuhn isn’t selected but not overly important otherwise.
Atm my only 3 Heat are Steketee, Bazley, Neser. Was considering Renshaw over Bazley so I’m not too reliant on their bowlers, but yeah. Team lists will be important

Strongly thinking about using another boost to get rid of Lyth and Rossouw. Would then use my last boost in round 10.
Would involve the following
Agar> Neser
Farooqi>Stek
Lyth>Peirson
Rossouw>Hardie
Would get rid of a few that are losing a lot of money and allow me to keep the players I want.
This is the team I'd have

Any thoughts on whether this would be a good idea or not or if not any alternatives? Have $13,600 in bank before trades.

How about a Naveed/Dooley instead of Hardie with just concluded a DGR and doesn’t guarantee 3 overs nor bats higher. Opportunities are limited for Hardie.

Might have to fade a few, nullifying each other😉s scores.
Opportunity is there to bring in Hurricanes as alternatives (even if they are on their Bye) 😉

Question marks on the Sixers bowling lineup , outside of Hosein & Maddinson not many other Renegades are screaming out pick me (at the moment).

Go unseen on Guptill , if SOS is back , how does their Top 3 look ?

Was there anything in particular about Steketee that made him a must have for you?
Personally not too fond of many in the BH lineup and contemplating going without them for this round.
Its a bit of a combination of:

Role - bowling good overs in the surge and at the death, likely to take wickets and has a good chance of snagging a 3fa in one of the games.
VC option - I generally prefer a bowling option that could score batting points over a batsman that only really has one avenue to score. He fits that mould well, and can see him scoring well enough vs the other options.
PODish - will need to see the final numbers as this may not happen, but it feels like the consensus is to target more of the value options (Neser, Swepson) or mid price guys (Renshaw, Baszley). I can see Steketee being passed on due to his price, as teams go for quantity with the cheaper names.

I am a little nervous about tonight's game as history suggests he may not get a bat and it could be more suited to spin, but reckon he's worth it based on ability and role.

Also pretty easy to get him to a Kane Richo or Abott next week in preparation for round 5

If that Heat line up correct, it makes both Renshaw and Bazley very problematic. You would think Neser, Steketee, and Swepson bowl out, meaning there is 8 overs for Bazley, Kuhnemann, and Renshaw. Likely to come down to pitch and match ups as to who gets them.

Tbh if Kuhnemann plays, I don’t think Renshaw bowls. So that above team helps Bazley imo

Is Renshaw being picked over the other Heat batters for the possibility of a few dot balls or an expectation that he could receive an economy rate bonus and take a wicket or two in RD3?

Think theres every chance Whiteley is ahead of Renshaw for overs aswell to be honest, if selecting him you can't really be expecting the overs to be there.

Going to the crowd with this one since i'm having a shocking start. (who doubles down on gilkes on field, fades richo, or takes a weatherald sized punt in rd1)

initial thoughts were clarke, farooqi, lyth out, potentially rkhan with a boost/BE reasons, who to bring in is the struggle

in dooley (BE too good to pass up), could loop with dorff/sams
CDG can loop with anyone other than a heat player on the bat line (probably hardie)

just looking for some others perspective on what others would do in my position
Would probably look at :-

Farooqi - > Swepson
Hales - > Neser

Then depends what you want to do with BH in Round 4.

2 of Agar , Rashid , Tye - > Steketee & Dooley/Naveed possibly

Clarke might be a very reasonable POD moving forward

Keeping Gilkes , move him to WK2 allows Clarke & Inglis both to be fielded

Good question, I had him in my thinking as someone who could snag a wicket or 2 in the same vein as Matt Short. But I'm not sure he gets enough overs for that, and if he is predominantly a bat only pick I think I'd go for the value selections over him.

Looks like I will need to ditch one of Tye or Agar. Tye has more attractive BE, but Agar's DPP flexibility could be handy. Which one will benefit most from playing at the Junction Oval?

Wow, these numbers are certainly surprising. Steketee the 7th most popular heat option. Munro more popular than Renshaw.
Yeah I was surprised too! But looking at the numbers I think there are quite a few that haven't put their trades in yet - probably waiting on final teams tonight and all that. But still, not even close to how I would have had them ranked!

One other thing to note with the Brisbane Heat line-up: don’t be suprised if Neser bats ahead of Bazley (pushing Bazley to 8). Neser is a pretty handy innings finisher. Watching Bazley try to do that finishing role the other night, his only shot was a slog to cow corner.
