Looks like I will need to ditch one of Tye or Agar. Tye has more attractive BE, but Agar's DPP flexibility could be handy. Which one will benefit most from playing at the Junction Oval?
Same predicament. Trading Tye. Can put Agar up into bats which is gold imo for a guy batting 7 and bowling 4 overs. Tye is a gun, but bowling spots at an absolute premium atm

1,106 (Thornton C)

Honestly, I’ll take this score but I should be ashamed… cos I’ve managed to make 2 blunders in 2 rounds.

Rd 1. Accidentally got stuck with Sangha as Captain after being locked out while still creating my team.

Rd 2. Traded in and VC’d Mitch Marsh not knowing he was injured 🤦🏽‍♂️… had to settle for Thornton as C (shoulda just gone with MShort at the AO)

Any suggestions for future trades/or any tips appreciated.
Don't want to sound like a smartass but how did you not know Marsh was out injured ?

The lack of talk on here as trade in option for Round 2 would have been enough (for me) to ask the question.

Understand people don't often have time to check Squads and starting XI's.

Positive is you now have a lot of cash to use to trade in anyone 🤗

Still a very strong score all thing's considering

One other thing to note with the Brisbane Heat line-up: don’t be suprised if Neser bats ahead of Bazley (pushing Bazley to 8). Neser is a pretty handy innings finisher. Watching Bazley try to do that finishing role the other night, his only shot was a slog to cow corner.
I think Neser bats ahead of him personally, when they played together in the Shield Neser was ahead and he's just been in far better overall form with the willow, I'd be picking Bazley with the view that anything with the bat is a bonus though.

Needs to average like 45
So 90 odd in 2 games. Very possible. I’m onboard I think. Looking like Abbott, Richardson and Hosein as my round 5 DGR bowlers. Then get Kerr in the bat position. Phillipe, Maddinson, Guptill maybe

Dooley makes sense now he can be used to get K.Richo easily in round 5

Big part of me wants a Heat batting asset, GMHBA isn't a big ground particularly and the drop in tends to be flat as a tack, Gabba is generally pretty handy to bat on aswell.
Yeah I am tempted to run a Munro/Renshaw/Billings over Bazley tbh

Just dont think I want 3 Heat bowlers, Steketee and Neser probably get the preference so will come down to Munro or Renshaw for me.
Yeah I’m sort of leaning that way too tbh. Whoever I take will probably be turned into Phillipe next week anyway in preparation for his round 5 DGR

Munro vs Renshaw
Bazley vs Neser

My two decisions that I’m tossing and turning over. Doesn’t impact trade outs. The batsman likely traded straight out next week. The bowler will potentially stay as I will hold one of Steketee, Bazley/Neser extra week.

Also weighing up Munro v Renshaw atm. Really tough. Munro is so high risk/high reward. Renshaw been in good form but not a renowned big hitter, so could get himself in a bit first which isn’t a bad thing as keeps the points over and maybe sneaks an over or 2? I’m so torn. Munro the more proven T20

How much Neser impacts Bazley concerns me for a guy we are paying 156K for, pretty small sample size but all his scores were crap last year when they played together.

Could we be overthinking it? Could it be as simple as Bartlett out, Neser in and things just staying as they are? Obviously Neser being better than Bartlett

Only 3 players - Billings, Neser and Steketee - average more than 50 at the Gabba, and most of the Heat squad has never played at GMHBA before. So much for exposed form at the two stadiums of their double!

Does anyone know much about historical team performances at GMHBA? Favours the bat or ball? I have a hazy memory of a lot of games being 4 or 5 wickets for somewhere between 160-180 runs, but not enough to say that with confidence!

Here are the team averages at the venues of their double:

Great work!

This is worth a look. Geelong looks low (batter) scoring to me, based on the associate/qualifying WC games.

Possibly, but my concern comes from whether or not Bazley is used at the death and Bartlett had no impact on that.
