Neser and Inglis combined for just over half of the score (327). Shadab Khan was the only other player to score more than 40 with Zampa, NCN, Tye, Richardson, Khan (C), Renshaw, Bazley and Stoinis all below 40. Averaged 1245 over the first two rounds. :ROFLMAO:
Current trades:
Out: A Zampa, M Renshaw and J Bazley
In: M Ur Rahman, H Kerr, J Philippe

If Guptill,Marsh,Finch,Maddinson,Wells and Harper are all available it will be interesting what they do though, Hosein,Sutherland,Richardson,Rogers and Ur Rahman 7-11 leaves their bowling attack pretty vulnerable, I'd have signed a bowler over Guptill myself they have plenty of batsmen already.

Yeah I think 170k for a bowler is the type of money you only pay for the real big dogs like your Abbott, Jhye Richo, Tye, Rashid, Kane Richo types. Think
I’ll be without Rogers for his DGR tbh. Already have Hosein and will get Richo so don’t want to overdo it with Gades bowlers. Will have Phillipe and maybe Vince/Patterson as batters against them
Gonna have to pick one of those cheap Sixers I think, dont really want 3 Gades bowlers by picking Mujeeb, probably comes down to taking the punt that Naveed plays or Patterson, hard to pick Vince when hes been woeful for an extended period at this point.

Mujeeb really just feels like a 30-40
Averaging guy now. Teams have worked him out a bit now so agree

And yeah Vince is bad atm. But kind of POD that could drop 150 in a DGR tbh. Patterson I like too

The factor in Mujeeb's favour is job security and role though, and spinners wickets coming up.

Who are the cheap Sixers that exist that have great job security? Imo Murphy looks OK from scoring potential, but if they were willing to drop Naveed (I literally don't think I can class a player that took 2/20 something twice as getting dropped), then they could easily switch Jordon for Naveen and switch up spinners.

The Sixers lineup has been very murky since the 4th International was signed.

Other option is to just trade one of the higher priced guys now and afford Phillippe, part of me would rather do that than force myself to pick one of these **** 100k or less options

I have zero confidence theyll pick Naveed over Murphy to be honest, at least not consistently enough that the pick would make sense to do now, he was probably their best bowler behind SOK the other night.

And that's a fair point right now.

I bet you might change your mind though if Naveed is selected ahead of Murphy for game 1 of the double though.

If theyve left a guy out once whats stopping them from doing it again (I don't buy the whole conditions angle personally they replaced a spinner with a spinner), plenty of bowlers locked into playing both games can't see myself picking him right now.

I guess my point is those with him aren’t looking to get off him, those without him aren’t looking to get on him.

Cheap Sixers are Vince and Murphy. Hardly inspiring picks yet because one is terribly out of form and one has questionable job security, much like the one people already own.

It’s pretty slim pickings at Sixerland. Which probably strengthens the case for Mujeeb. He’s not really one I initially considered, but he’s now in the mix.

Yeah I guess someone at 100k that will bowl 8 overs across the DGR does need to be considered. And can make 25k by going Zampa to him also

I'm probably going to risk having the extra Gades bowler, I just dont rate Patterson or Vince and feels like I'm talking myself into them due to matchup fears rather than actually wanting to select either, think they've got to work harder than Mujeeb to score the same points, Mujeeb does have a massive ceiling on his day himself the guy averaged mid 60s only a couple seasons ago.

Yeah I think you take the guy bowling 8 overs as opposed to the batter who won’t bowl and aren’t known big catchers so limits the scoring a bit

I've adopted the bowler tactic from day dot on the back of the unbelievable stats @Diabolical has provided regarding batting and bowling scoring trends through the World Cup and now the Big Bash. I don't really see a way I don't continue with the majority of my picks either being bowlers, or all-rounders (who I class as a double) as opposed to players with one string to their bow (who I don't really like on doubles, especially BAT only).

Mujeeb seems like the sort of pick that is playing a really straight bat this round ahead of an upcoming double on spin friendly wickets. I'm still playing around with other options to see if I can find a preferred combo, and don't even know if I have found his preferred combo yet. If I recall correctly Mujeeb started one of the last 2 seasons priced at ~$210K which shows he has scoring pedigree.
