Im really lost for my third trade here

So far I've done
Khan -> Mujeeb
Lynn-> Marsh

That leaves with $62,800 in the bank
I've already used 1 boost and plan to use another next round

For my final trade, I have two options that come to mind:
1. Trade Tye to Hosien and leave me with 20k for next round
2. Trade Rogers to Nikitaras. This will give me Connolly and Nikitaras as my loops for the year and 90k for next round

I'm once again conflicted and open to any advice Screen Shot 2022-12-24 at 10.27.04 am.png

I believe I read that Marsh is unlikely for both games of the double as they ease him back in.

Just had a search and it was Honeyball who are usually quite accurate with an estimated return of round 6-7.

My general rule in this situation is to have your early trades be the bankers, who you're not gonna jump off after one poor game or whose role is at risk.

With that in mind...

OUT: Munro, Renshaw, Zampa
IN: Abbott, Philippe, Cam Green

This round is essentially why I chose not to start a donut. Take the value on offer early, flip underperforming options into proven guns. Don't want a huge haul of DGRs in R5 given the draw (and the Sixers being perhaps slightly worse than expected) so don't need the extra right now.

Current team:

Inglis (Wade)
Sams, Shadab, Neser, Philippe, Stoinis (Webster E, Gilkes)
Abbott, Hosein, Steketee, Rashid, Tye (Naveed E, Green)

Feels like a very strong side to have as early as round 4 and yet I'm outside the top 5000!
I agree with your logic, but would flag Abbott’s BE. It’s a decent premium to pay for certainty, maybe you could find someone else you are confident on?

Not sure Marsh is even in today's squad is he? Seems to be a couple of games off

My initial reaction would be to prioritise Kerr or Philippe. Maybe Zampa to Kerr?

From what I saw on Honeyball we won't see Marsh until Round 6 or 7.

Definitely not in today's Squad

Would definitely look to bring in Hosein & Kerr this round

Can you do :-

Khan - > Mujeeb
Lynn - > Kerr
Tye - > Hosein

If you intend to get him next week then he's a valid option this week to. There's nothing stopping you benching, or even looping him this week. Job security is neither here nor there, he's 100% playing if fit. The BE isn't exactly big at 26.
I appreciate your point but as I'm bringing in 6 x MR/SS players I prefer to bring in others this round and Mujeeb next.
e,g, Rogers, Kerr and Finch

N.B. Looping isn't an option as all my players should be playing.

Yeah, I'm probably paying 10-15k overs for the certainty, but he's every chance of jagging five against a fairly average looking Stars lineup! Been burned playing the BE game with Abbott before, think you just get him in when the opportunity presents.

Anyone else going without Hosein? Terrified but I think the ship has sailed at that price.
Nah, back the Sixers attack to rip through that top order and provide plenty of batting opportunities and hes been the best spin bowler in the comp so far playing on 2 generally spin friendly wickets, just can't be taking those guys on when in the top 800 for mine

Current team after trades. Probably look to move on Zampa, Kuhnemann and Hales next round. Think I’ll be short on DGR’s but will target Mujeeb and see if I can manage Abbott.

It's actually interesting to write down what your Round 5 team looks like on paper.

Our preferred trade in targets might not actually all fit in the best.

All going well I should be :-

Inglis

HOSEIN (if DPP) , Sams * , KERR * , PHILIPPE + X

J Richardson , ABBOTT , K RICHARDSON , MUJEEB , Zampa (?)

X = 1 of Hardie * , Turner or Stoinis * (play the same game so can't loop any of them)

Zampa v the Scorchers @ Optus

Hoping to hold Shadab (BYE) on the bench

Can swing a few DPP players around

Just with the DPP additions, have we had any idea how/who is deciding, and what sort of criteria they are going to go with?
I had a brief look on the website and couldn't find anything, unless I missed it, or has there been any notes in articles about it?
To be honest, I had completely forgot about it until today when I've seen some comments on it.

Someone asked about it the other day , their was a hidden article.

Code Sports had a article by Tim Michell (again hidden) that all I could see were Hosein & Webster that he considered the most likely to get it (out of 5 , no idea who the other 3 were)

Haven't seen anything as to what criteria they are using to determine any changes though.
