Mitchell ranked 10th amongst mids for disposals per 100mins, even with different roles at Hawthorn - per FF.

Think if he can go from 50pct to 80-83pct CBA he is going to be that value midfielder keeper we always look for.

There is on negative, he is going to Collingwood, his favourite team to play against. He ave 36.1 disposals vs Pies, highest average of any player against single team in history.
worth keeping in mind Mitchell also had shoulder concerns last year and as a result his tackle numbers were well down in the first half of the year…. If Tom can pick back up his tackle numbers combined with more CBA then 100-110 scores should be back on the cards…

So who is your top ten $230k to $330k priced players
For me I'd have them in this order -

Hopper
Fyfe (if injury free going into round 1)
T Thomas (if playing half back)
Yeo (if injury free going into round 1)
Sheed

Good luck👍
Two more with the MMM caveat:
Hunter Clarke
Jack Bowes

A few more to consider...
Liam Jones
Duursma
Worpel
Good selections there @Russty…..I’ve got Jones in my backline as well think he is a decent starting pick for 227k…

Worpel could surprise, wonder what his 2019 supercoach numbers were like as Mitchell broke his leg that year?
he won our best and fairest so could be a nice little pick up

Cheers Macca, this is from the Hawk's bit in the Christmas wish list article on AFL.com.au...

The sky was the limit for a 20-year-old James Worpel after a breakout 2019 season that saw him win the Peter Crimmins Medal as Hawthorn's best and fairest player. Averaging 26.6 disposals and 6.3 clearances from 22 games, Worpel looked destined to become one of the competition's elite midfielders. Unfortunately, a series of form and injury issues has hampered his progress since, with his 2022 season being cut short due to a dislocated shoulder. After undergoing surgery in July, Worpel is nearing full fitness again and looks primed for a big 2023. Wouldn't that be a nice Christmas gift, Hawks fans? - Brandon Cohen

What are people thoughts on Oscar Allen @ $210,200 with the retirement of Josh Kennedy?

Is this another Daniher/Walker type increase?
Now is the time he will get a better defender. I can see it working out but not as quickly as the price rises from those two.

The good thing about the pick is he is locked in the 22 and unlikely to be a sub.

He is currently F5 but we are long way out.

For me he's coming off a long layoff and is a tall key fwd so not really worth getting too excited about. King might be ok if he's fully fit, Allen hasn't really had the experience of being the main man.
Reckon I'd rather start a rookie like Van Rooyen, there's also McLean. The main thing for me early in the SC season is not picking someone you're gonna regret 2 weeks later and wanna dump em for someone who can score.

Esava Ratugolea requested a trade to Port Adelaide in the off-season, however, Geelong maintain their the right place for him going forward.

Is Esava Ratugolea relevant at $174,000 for the forwards?
I see you are bargain-hunting TT.
Definitely won’t be going with Ratugolea.. too much risk as his role is unclear and his form line is very inconsistent.
However if your earlier suggestion Oscar Allen is named in R1, he is in my squad for sure.

Looking at the draw a popular defence combination of Dawson and N.Daicos, both have the same bye and Daicos will only be in his second season.

Considering Mitchell is only $26,100 more, are you better off going with a proven premium defender and o***et it with Mitchell in the midfield?

I currently have a 2 premium defence of Dawson/Stewart as it has a better bye.

My current setup is: 2-5-2-3

The reality is that Worpel was dropped before getting injured. His form was that bad. However with Mitchell and JOM gone you would assume he plays in the guts and the coach backs him (and Newcombe) first up. Agreed of Stephens etc.
Prob a post round 2 watch for me as opposed to starting him …

After being dropped, upon return in Round 15 he played what I would say was his best game in a long time up against a full strength Dogs midfield. Had the genuine midfield role, and was fantastic with 25 touches, three tackles. Only translated to the 82 SC, but I recall back to sitting at that game and thinking his score didn't quite reflect how good he was in that one. It was a real shame he got injured real early the following week, would've loved for him to be able to put together a couple of months of footy back in that midfield role and build some confidence. He's a real awkward price, and tough to take as a MID only, would've been a nicer bet as a MID/FWD, but definitely worth at least tracking over the preseason.

Agree worth tracking. I think the concern is that he doesn’t play a SC friendly game. Even his B&F year he only averaged 97. His kicking needs to improve if he is to become a 100+ average player.
