On Ginbey, in all the match sims so far he has swapped with Yeo in playing mid & half back. Looks like they want one of them in the middle at all times as they are similar in style :- big bodied/ strong tackling/ physical/ good defensively.
Any idea what his SC scoring was like in juniors and wafl?

Not the biggest ball winner from these stats, even at Colts.

Highest fantasy score in the wafl a 42.

Think the requirement for the value pick is higher than its ever been, Redman and Young could work but you'd have to be pretty confident they can hit at least 100 to pick them.

My preference right now is to look more towards Yeo and Bowes for the value as what you need from them is far less to work.
What's the feeling out of Geelong on where Bowes slots in? Will have a regular gig and role or will it plug holes do you think?

Bit of everywhere I reckon, trained literally every line on the ground, was in the midfield in last nights training, the fact that hes shown he can score in defence boosts my confidence though, one we are going to have to watch I think.

Ollie Henry with a wing/forward split and just about best on ground is something worth monitoring aswell but that's for another thread.

My understanding is Ginbey played as a defender at WAFL level but was played as a big-bodied mid at the U18 champs and won WA's MVP. He has a tank (finishing top 5 in the 2km time trial at the draft combine) which greatly boosts his chances.

Bit of Clarry about him

Freo watchers reporting that Matt Johnson looks a bit raw as compared to Erasmus (not taking first option, tries to do too much, missing targets, missing tackles).

Still a kid, turns 20 at Round 1. With Brayshaw, Serong and JOM in the guts, Brodie coming off the bench, Fyfe beasting in short bursts ;) and Erasmus presumably ahead of him it's hard to see how he wins a Rd 1 spot unless he does something amazing in the practice matches.

Didnt move into the midfield until the U/18 Champs where he was their MVP and averaged 21 touches, think if hes only a tall defender we pass but doesnt look like that's the case.

Currently rocking a Young and Yeo D1 and D2. Had Sicily penciled in until Lewis went down, took him out as they may throw him forward where needed. Going heavy in the guts this year, Hopper D6
Agree with the strategy and doing a similar thing in principle, but with the Sicily comment, has the role change been discussed/confirmed by training reports and/or coaches comments? if so do you have an article link or is it more of a gut feel?

Currently Sicily is my D1 and if there is a role change I want nothing to do with him but can't find anything anywhere illustrating him playing other than defence...

I'm a bit suss on Daicos, rotated with Crisp in the 1st half of match sim but attended every stoppage in the 2nd half, if they are going to play him as a mid, remembering that they have a very Tigers based gameplan, as well as him being up against some very strong men and getting attention, does that mean that he could have some very 'down' games. Don't get me wrong, I think the kid is a generational talent, but transitioning to mids takes away those easy back half possessions.
