King at F5 is the weak spot on field.

Welcome aboard.

My thoughts/suggestions would be:

- Your defence looks incredible, but the structure is very different to what most people are aiming for, given the downside risks on the defender premiums, and the potential cash cows on that line.

- Your rucks look to take a big hit for the strength of your defense. If I was picking Meek, I think I’d prefer Cameron to be up forward, with the ability to swing up if Meek misses.

- The mids are also a bit skinny with Green at M2.

- I like that you are reserving some cash for rookies priced above 120k.

- Switching two premos out of defence, and upgrading one mid and one ruck, would be my main suggestion.

Hope this helps, good luck for the season.
Yeah not sold on this configuration yet, its a wait and see on preseason form & playing position on a few players. Rookies that will actually start obviously still unknown until round 1 teams are listed with only rumours of best options. Will probably make some stronger mid & less defence premises when convinced of a few team orders! Rucks are set very thin but looking for growth rather than set and forget, but uncertainty about each players actual potential scoring growth.
I would ideally start with 1 more premo Midfielder, 1 less premo Defender, 1 premo ruck instead of the Meek/Cameron combination.. but let's see where we stand when we know more about teams and rookies that actually start the season, I have tried to avoid mid price madness this year or injury prone priced reduced or players that get rested...
I would ideally start with 1 more premium Mid, Rucks set for the year.. 1 less premium defenders for more midfield points

like the Neale selection, even with Dunkley there I think Neale will score well and give you a sneaky POD premium at the start…
May be light on in forwards with Fyfe at F3 however If it pays off your well set up.

Depends how much improvement people see from King, a 47 goal season only averaged 53 and his floor was horrendous, its hard to see how he betters that off an ACL but they are a better team I guess, really need 65 at the price without the low scores that tank the cash gen, for me he feels a pass.

Continues to evolve - I'm on a Defender watch this pre-season to make the structure work. Very light on down back and really depends on the R2 also but we can only dream.

How do you feel about trusting Allen on field? Getting lots of positive press but has the makings of a pretty damaging pick at 200k if he doesn't perform. West Coast just as likely to be garbage as last year from where I'm sitting which I wouldn't think is too conducive to a young full forwards scoring.

Thought about going 1 thinner in defense? Looks like the rookie honeypot again this year. Scary to go in on any line with so many upgrades to make though.

Yeah it's a little worrying, will be keeping an eye on others but haven't seen too many names pop up that will get regular games at cheaper price with scoring potential - I'm happy to be pointed in the right direction though if you know any smokies.

Eagles should improve somewhat this year, mayb 10-12th. Allen a talent, although, key forwards not ideal particularly with JJK retiring.

Humphrey and Pedlar are ones to watch. Sinn I think may be injured or recovering.

I really like Allen, could easily kick 5 goals in a game and spike heavily off it. JS is flawless, durability a worry though. I actually think Eagles will be very competitive this year.

McLean is another pretty strong looking forward rookie. Humphrey definitely a solid chance. Brent Daniel should be strong if he's good to go round one, especially if getting midfield minutes.

Fantasia is an interesting one if he squeezes in somewhere. Sheezel could be good, will wait and see.

King is a wait for mine, no reason he can't be similar to Allen. He's actually got help now and the team should be better, both help, but he does literally nothing but mark/kick/goals so it's a bit harder for him.

Pedlar, Fogarty, Bruce, Corbett and Berry all worth watching if they get gigs.

The cheapies are really lacking though right now, hopefully a couple come along.

But yeah, definitely agree that it looks a problematic group, most of the above are premium priced with no real indication they'll score at premium levels to cheaper options at other spots.

How many goals are West Coast going to kick in a run of Freo,Melbourne,Geelong,Port,Carlton and Richmond in a row? Don't think they'll be as bad as last year but thats a bloody tough run, Think Allen's just as likely to be dropping 30's as he is to be generating good cash myself, that's assuming he can actually stay fit.

All it takes is a contested mark, kick and goal and that's nearly your 30 points, He's in my side and it may be a combination of having him onfield and on the bench on occasions depending on opponents. If your thin on your bench, we'll he'll be onfield and if he scores a 50 I'd be happy with that. Depends on people's expectations, are they waiting for the 150k profit or taking a lesser amount when another opportunity arises with a new rookie? Nothing worse than holding a slow burn.

Happy enough with this squad at this stage.
I keep switching from 11 premiums to 12 which isn't ideal but 11 gives a better balance.
Plenty of players to monitor through the pre season so no doubt things will change. View attachment 52394
I like the Holmes pick, priced at 65 and went at 94 in his last 6 games, which is exactly what I would want from a MP player.

Interested to hear your thoughts though.
