Be interesting as to why (just managing bodies etc) - was pretty confident he's in their best 22 come Round 1.

If he scores poorly in Game 2 (but has a good role) - could make him pretty unique.

Its a bit concerning that a guy needs to get managed out of a 50 man squad, could easily have just played a quarter of footy.

Just a 29 man squad for Hawks. Still assuming it's a load management thing but we'll obviously get a better indication if they say why (or if he's in the squad for next week etc)

Its a bigger squad than that they named guys from Box Hill aswell, just not included in the sides named on the AFL website for whatever reason, would have thought if you're in Round 1 contention you'd at least manage minutes with such deep squads but we'll see.

I expect they'll have the AFL listed players play the first 4 quarters then the VFL players play quarters 5-8. Just have it as 8 quarters to give them some flexibility (aka if an AFL player is managed/injured in the 3rd quarter, they can put a VFL player on who will play quarters 3-6 etc)
