Whitfield feels just as unlikely to be a keeper as all of them to me, his 100+ years were all as the main guy out of defence with literally nobody taking it off him, thats just not the case anymore.
Thats before you even consider the fact that hes almost 29 and made of glass, just dont get that pick personally.
Whitfield is a weird option to be getting strong consideration as a MID only.
Has one season he scored above a D6 level, where he missed 6 games, and one season where he scored at a D6 level (2020 COVID anomaly) in 10 seasons. He's missed 4, 7 and 6 games in the last 3 22 game seasons which is in line with his whole career where durability has been a significant issue, especially with his concussion history.
That one better than D6 season wasn't even in a rebounding role, it was the year that he got M/F DPP classification after playing as a high half forward/wing being used as a leadup target around the ground.
The case if he was starting as a defender is somewhere in the weak to middling category but to be throwing in the requirement of a DPP change on top, while picking him in the highest scoring position, I mean I just don't get it.
I'm just looking and for 30-40k more you can get genuine keeper chances in the forwards and backs with better records or narratives. For 70-80k more you're looking at midfielders with genuine 115+ potential.
