11/23 CBA's and tonned, dont think hes going to need massive minutes to score well as hes in and under and contested and dont see why they would take him out of that role, been the best mid in both practice games.

Will be dishing the footy out to Bowes,Duncan,Menegola,Smith moreso than impacted by them being in the side for mine.

Appreciate your intel on your club of choice, if it's not asking too much, who is in the best uninjured 22/26 (otherwise if you could advise who goes out for Bowes/Bruhn)?

Worth noting with Hawks mids that Finn was tagging Daicos yesterday but probably tags an inside mid most games, so the mid time of the players will probably reduce in round one. He starts at a HFF before moving on ball usually to tag, replacing one of the mids at the CB.

Is there a chance they go smaller in defence at times subject to opposition sides week by week (pushing Ratugolea out and replacing him with a more established player)? Are Blicavs' days as a defender finished?

Yeah, think there will be opposition where Sav misses out myself and they just go SDK,Kolo,Stewart and Z.Guthrie.

Blicavs too important as a defensive mid and relief Ruck to play down back but its an option they can always go back to if they are desperate.

I guess you can argue that but Chris Scott loves versatile players, being able to slot him in any line on the ground throughout a game makes it more likely he gets picked for mine.

interesting to think about Bruhn mid split in the season, 300% needs to be divided Between Blicavs, Danger, CGuth, Bruhn, Atkins and Holmes. Could see something like Danger 60%? then Blicavs, Bruhn, CGuth, Atkins all about 50%? Holmes 30-40%? That's Blicavs without ruck time, late last year was getting like 85% CBA's with 55% of those as a mid (can calculate by looking at other ruck CBA's).

Are we sure Bruhn gets the mid time we want for an 85+ avg? Danger is more likely to attend a CBA then only play forward of centre, so Bruhn and co could really be getting more mid time than the CBA number would indicate.

I also failed to mention McVee, who also plays an SC friendly role albeit the JS may not be there pending the fitness of Salem.

Plenty of fieldable rookie priced DEF options in my view.

Wouldn't it just be one of Bowey and McVee with Bowey ahead of him? Trent Rivers isnt the worst player either that can play a similar sort of role.

Guys like Danger and Guthrie arent getting any younger, if anyones going to be moved around I'd expect it to be them not the 20 year old kid that's the future of the club thats just played two very good games, have to develop the next gen and provide the opportunity or its going to be a very long rebuild post this successful period.
