Starting Merrett means you can't pick him up for around $500k midseason and having him whilst he goes on an amazing run.

But that’s kinda semantics and there is no real definition of a premium so I think you’re over complicating things if you don’t say your $500k defender you pick is not a premium in your side. He’s not a rookie, he’s not a mid pricer.
Plus he scored better than any other defender “premium” in the second half of last year

That's why I'm happy those 2 played early.
People here give the impression they're making 2-3 changes as each preseason game comes through. Those people will have my Rucks Swapped back out again before Sunday lunch!!!!
