Maybe... it’s tough to trade into many $650k players though 😬

Yeah I've locked into Laird for basically this reason, he hasn't had a poor game in about two years and doesn't really give you a good time to target him.

Annoying that a lot of things I was considering look somewhat unsustainable. Probably looking at another big structure change after this weekend's games. Lycett in particular is really annoying.

Laird or Oliver may well be 50k cheaper by round 7, but so is the 600k midfielder that you picked in their place. So while you're trying to put together 650k, everyone else is only looking for 550k to bring in the alternative, and are 10ppg ahead

Easier to maintain value when starting from a lower price, and the 10ppg difference can be made up elsewhere if you have better rookies or a better midpricer on field. Conversely, spending up for a perma-captain is also appealing.

Be interesting to see how many of the winners have started the highest priced players or have they started with value picks instead. Or has the strategy changed over the years where the gnr method isn’t as viable now we don’t have the rookies from the suns and giants.

I’m not expecting many wins... I just want to see games into the kids, and hopefully some good development from them.

Then hit the draft hard again with quality picks.

I agree but went from an elite player to pretty much a nothing player. Trade him or find a new role for him, i know his not laird but that sort of role maybe would of suited him. Can find the footy and can tackle half decent.

Gulden's score is even more impressive given he's spent a decent amount of time playing forward. 817 metres gained for a player rotating forward is just elite
