Jones is best for structure if you are going light in defence his JS gives you confidence there. If going light forward Allen is similar.
Jones at D4 gives a little more confidence that you just got to find 2 out of 4 rookies to have a full team in the event of a disaster in the defensive line.

Defence is the most up in the air thing for me, think if enough get named even as light as no premo works, feels alot more stable with 2 of Docherty,Dawson,Sicily and Stewart though.

I think without Ryan in the pre-season he had to play more accountable, which hurt him.

But he also didn’t seem to get a kick-in boost. We also didn’t get to see him alongside Ryan to see if he’s getting a bigger kick-in share.

Just a bit of an unknown now.

Everyone reacts, Young has two crap games, Ridley, Cumming et al were great. Pretty sure Daicos has dropped about 7% on the same reasoning.

Dropped 11% now.

11 brownlow votes and a better debut season than Fyfe. Selectable as a def as well. Seems a class above, like Walsh or Oliver.

The other big factor for me is Ryan didn’t play in either preseason game alongside Young so we didn’t get to see their exact roles/ kick in situation etc

I see no need at this stage to start anyone but Yeo between 300-600k in the defense.

The options are just too strong by moving away from that area.

Ridley/Young/Daicos moved down to Bowes/Crozier allows moves like J.Kelly -> Laird/Oliver + Shezel -> Fyfe.
