Any blues fans with a decent insight into hollands? I loved watching him in the champs
Fits the Walsh mode of gut runner
Will he be pushed out after a few rounds or he’s a chance to go 15+ games this year?

He’s in my price range and I don’t mind it bar the lack of dpp

Well, it's a complicated answer unfortunately ( )

Acres has one wing spot wrapped up for sure.

The other was expected to go to LOB (O'Brien - and still might, a Hollands debut does not mean it's his wing, as you need 3 wingers in rotation for any given game etc)

Hollands was probably 4th in the pecking order (behind Cottrell, who is currently injured, expected back in the early rounds) however it's quite possible they play 3 of Acres/LOB/Cottrell/Hollands in the same team going forward.

I would feel a lot better about his scoring potential if LOB wasn't named for Thursday night's game, then it would be safe to assume Hollands would play pure wing (80%, whatever his TOG is etc) and is currently ahead of LOB. If LOB is named, Hollands is much more likely to play forward of the two, and fill in for Acres/LOB on the wing when they are on the bench.

Throw in Walsh as another that would have a minor affect on Hollands (with Walsh in the side, one of Walsh/Cerra can fill in the wing time of Acres/LOB etc, so you don't need to play "3" wingers)

Much appreciated mate
Will make it easier when we get a few more confirmations on debuts/rookies
But getting him in for a 90k blockbuster is great signs along with Cowan

Expect they’ll both play plenty this year

Nothing wrong with starting with cash in the bank if you're happy with your picks and structure. Gives you good flex for those adjustment trades. I'm pretty sure I started either 2013 or 2014 with $235k in the bank and that didn't harm my game at all
Could have finished 10-15 spots higher mate ;)

A lot of people are picking Chesser as a FDTP, but he's gotta be a vest risk, when he does play. I for one, am happy to wait for his bubble.
He's not very useful round one. Only helps if gambling on Cowan/Young/Hollands or want to loop Bowes/Hopper.

I think Hollands is one of those "good option to have" type rookies. He could be very good in the right role if he performs or he could be playing reserves in week 2 if he doesn't. Agree with AT that LOB selection matters for short term scoring and Walsh is a possible death knell for him if he does have a good role. Very all or nothing rookie, I'd argue the perfect kind to have the flexibility to get to come round 3 but no real need to spend up to start, albeit there aren't a lot of other options that are cheaper and those that are, aren't better or should already be starting in other lines.

Really hoping the Tigers pick Ryan, want to be able to skip Esava and have a playing R3.

Want to run my donut in the mids.
M8-10 of Hollands, Phillips and Baker, then Gillbee as the loop.

Do you think the tigers will give him a decent run of games?
I thought the ruck set up this year should have been Nank and Miller, but Miller was behind Soldo and Ryan in the last praccy.
Since Soldo did his knee the Nank & Soldo combo just hasn't worked imo. Doesn't offer anywhere near enough around the ground.

Hoping that Ryan gets the nod as a fwd and Miller gets a go filling in for Tarrant while he's out.

Would they even give Ryan ruck time? I thought he was going to be developed as a forward only.

Blokes 206cm and gets plenty of ruck time in the 2s, but that's probably more out of necessity.
Dimma has always been pretty big on players being able to play multiple positions so I don't think he'd be a 100% stay at home FWD if he were to get a gig.
