All thoughts welcome and appreciated.

Gawn could become English.
Green could become Parish.
Fyfe could become a rookie (McLean?).
Bont vs Neale - Have gone for Bont as a little cheaper.
I think you're a 500k defender short & relying on too many rookies to carry your defense. In saying that, if your defender rookies hold up and score well then I think you're ahead of the pack as you have uber premos everywhere that you don't need to find $$$ for.

Do you trust the rookie defenders? If so, run with it.

Just had another go at throwing a team together after a couple of weeks of not thinking about it.

Doesn't look too bad, but I'm fading some likely popular picks here (Ziebell, Fyfe, Phillips are the three of note) and the lack of a M/F link worries me a bit, as I like to have those in place for round 1 wherever possible.

Rat at F6 isn't my first preference either but I need some sort of cover for two somewhat injury-prone rucks. Swinging out DeGoey for Cameron and ditching Rat would help with both the M/F link and maintain that ruck backup so I'm still mulling that over.

I think Chesser has more value as a donut to play rather than being managed. It would be good if West Coast build his fitness in the WAFL rather than as a sub. I'm tinkering with the idea of starting him if not picked.
He's pretty worthless in round 1 unless going the Cowan or Young gambles. I doubt anyone would loop Bowes or Hopper if looping the mids given what you're paying, they damn well better be putting up the 85/95 to be startable over rookies!

Maximum value in round 2 but he'll probably play then just to ruin it

I have done some tinkering... Key changes:
- Gawn down to Darcy (not 100% sold on this given Darcy's up and down/ durability)
- Bruhn down to Rat (gives ruck cover, probably giving away points but I don't trust Bruhn to be 100+ keeper anyway)
- Hopper down to Callaghan (don't mind this)
- Liam Jones up to Jordan Dawson. This is the bit which makes it worth my while!
- Rookie reshuffle

I think (hope!) most of the trades are sideways or slightly backwards in terms of points, but opens the door for better money making opportunities and Dawson should outscore Jones comfortably to make the whole reshuffle worthwhile.

Thoughts?

That's an interesting structure: I'm commenting because its totally different to mine.

Major issue for me is you have a potential scoring leak at F5 and 6, and probably at M8, but the forward line for me is a major issue. McLean is not the McLean of his heyday when he was getting CBAs, he also did not look that great in the pre-season. People picking him on field because of that now invalid data aren't getting the guy they think they are. Ratu, I just don't think his position in the 22 is that solid, and his scoring won't be great, heavily reliant on intercepts for juice. Running a non-playing loop at F8 is not very good in this context. Sure, you can swing Davey forward but how reliable is the scoring of a small forward. If one of your premo forwards goes down you really are dancing with disaster having to field either Fergus or Davey plus McLean and Ratu (assuming the later has solid season-long JS).

Cincotta you'll just have to ditch and/or Drury. Running 3 non-playing players is just no bueno.

I have different opinions on some of your players picked but overall the rest of it is fine IMO.

Just got finished with my first full 30-man team. Was up against the cap with 2 or 3 spots to go until I took Clayton Oliver out (Rowell was who I threw in to complete my starting midfield). Open to any and all comments. Thanks!

Madden, Morris, Briggs, Begg, Raak, Cuningham, Knevitt, Sinn unlikely to feature and possibly Humphrey.
Doesn't look to be too many replacements either for team announcements.
Handy to have cash there to grab players like O.Hollands, Cowan, Phillips, Ginbey, Mackenzie, Sheezel, Davey, Greene if named.

Definitely need a playing ruck priced $398k, 465k or higher.

What structure is everyone looking at in terms of keepers out of interest? Keepers not to include the likes of Bruhn/Setters/Hopper/Ziebell/Fyfe etc - $450k and up. I'm not seeing much from the defender rookies and can see some pain down back with limited bail out options being available if some are dropped/injured. Might be being a little cautious but what's people gut feel a couple of days out?

I keep flip-flopping between (D/M/R/F)

3/3/2/4 and 2/4/2/4
